A race condition in the Rust hyper HTTP/1 library caused large image responses to be truncated at Cloudflare’s edge when socket backpressure interfered with buffer flushing before shutdown. The flaw surfaced after infrastructure changes exposed timing issues that led to premature connection closure while megabytes of response data remained unsent.
