Cutting Rabbets. In today's episode of An Unplugged Life, I talk about the offset choices you have when building Kerfing Planes, as well as the tools and methods you'll need to execute them. We'll look at some existing Kerfing Planes and how they're set up. I used the Veritas Jack Rabbet plane for this first, 1/2" offset. This is a fixed fence plane and will be used specifically for sawing veneer.
