[text]: My blankets are nicer and I don't even like strawberry wine, Raj.

[text]: But I like you, so fine, I guess I'll bring the blankets.

[text]: even though you could just come here.

Hey! My hours got changed, so I won't see you tonight for dinner. On the bright side, we will have a whole twenty-four hours off together (at the same time, Raj, can you imagine?) 

[text]: What?

The pet store, is, inarguably, one of the busiest places in the mall. It's overrun with little children begging their parents for some kind of pet, guys trying to make up some sort of mistake to their girlfriends, or just teenagers hanging around trying to play with some cute puppies. 

Raj and Aashika fall into none of those categories. She knows from the look on his face that he has something up her sleeve, but she doesn't know what until he starts talking. "I've never seen so many kittens in one place," Raj says. "It's kind of scary."

"It's a pet store, Raj," Aash tells him impatiently. "They're not going to have just one. Also, while I have your attention- why are we here?"

Raj looks at her strangely, as if it's perfectly ridiculous that she hasn't already figured it out. "I want a dog."

Okay, Aash thinks. That actually kind of makes sense. 

"So I figure we can move in together and then we can both take care of him."

On Call Rooms. She’s reminded of how much time they spent sleeping (like actually sleeping) together. 

The kids. They’re living breathing proof that he was there and they had something real, and she loves them because they’re all she has left of him (or so she thinks). 

The kitchen counter. She remembers random things, like standing there and eating quickly when they’re running late to work, or getting distracted, with her sitting on the kitchen counter, Raj standing between her legs. 

Raj’s car. He’s not around to drive it, but she hasn’t sold it yet. It’s a waste of money keeping it, but she just… doesn’t have the heart.

drinking/drunk headcanon; 

The night they take their exams and stop being interns, Raj and Aashika go out with their colleagues and get smashed. The group dwindles, though,and the two of them are eventually left alone. She’s too drunk to go all the way home, and his is closer so he invites her back. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she thinks, this is it, tonight’s the night, but she falls asleep as soon as she changes, and she wakes up in the middle of the night burrowed in Raj’s arms. It’s stupid, but really it’s better than anything else. 

sleep headcanon;

on-call rooms always end up full in the middle of the night, and Aash is lucky if she gets her own bed on a slow night. She and Raj get in the habit of sharing a bunk, and no matter how much space they start out having between them, they always end up with their legs tangled and her hogging the blanket.
