And at this point I'm like, cool, this monster is her aggressive common sense. Boy was I wrong...

"I'm sorry," I cried, burying my face in my knees, too afraid to look at his sharp teeth.
"I didn't mean to".
"It's because you're bad. God is punishing you for being a filthy, little whore." Stalking toward me, he gripped my face between his hands and glared down at me. "You need to be punished for doing this to me." He reached for his belt buckle with his other hand. "Tonight, you're going to learn about how rough it can get, but first, I need you to take this."
"What is it?" I strangled out, chest heaving, as I tried to remind myself that it was a dream. I would wake up soon and everything would be better.
"Good girls take their medicine, or they get swollen bellies," the monster inserted a small pill into the back of my throat. "You don't want a swollen belly, do you?"
I shook my head.
"You're going to take one of these pills every night," he continued to threaten. "I'll make sure of it."
"I don't want to," I cried, hating the sensation of the pill sliding down the back on throat. "Please don't make me take more medicine."

I KNEW I WAS DREAMING WHEN THE MONSTER CAME INTO MY ROOM TONIGHT.
BECAUSE the doctors told me he wasn't real.
I'd made him all up. The scary lady, too. They were a figment of my imagination, delusions I invented inside my own head, and I think that made me feel better because it meant I wasn't really being hurt.
The scary lady wasn't pushing me under the water in the real world, and the monster wasn't putting things inside of my body, either. I didn't have to fight back and scream and warn the monster that my best friend told me about the bad touch because it wasn't happening.
That made me feel so much better.
I didn't have to scratch and bite and push the monster off me. I could just lay there and be quiet because he couldn't hurt me. The doctors said so. It was all in my head.
When the monster turned me over and pushed my head into the pillow, I didn't need to beg to die because this was a dream. When he put the bad thing inside my body, I didrit hope he would push me into the darkness and leave me there because I’m the real world he couldn’t reach me. In the real world I was free.

lizzie stans pmtfo bc they always ignore gibsies trauma and they think lizzies trauma justifies everything she does and says to gibsie. im not saying that i don't understand her trauma bc i do like i get it but it does not give her a free pass saying that gibsie should've drowned instead of his father and sister is crazy and gen inexcusable (she also does this more than once)
in r10 lizzie litr SAs hugh and the fact that almost no one talks abt is scary tbh and she does cheat on him but i also get that she definitely cannot be blamed for that. also lizzie stans always call claire a bad friend fir cutting lizzie off as if lizzie wasnt forcing her to choose between her and gibsie, mind u gibsie had always been claire's bestfriend the same way hugh was lizzies and when hugh is celebrated for prioritizing lizzie, claire is condemned for prioritizing gibsie as if it isn't the same thing. claire also only cut lizzie off when she found out the truth abt gibsie's r@pe and she decided that she wouldn't let lizzie bully him anymore
ive also seen somewhere that her fans compare her saying that gibsie should've di3d instead of his sister with him saying calling some girl 'ms piggy' in the end of redeeming 6 (I feel like this os am example of CWs inconsistent writing cus in t7 and r10 we see that gibsie used to get fat shamed when he was a kid) ofc this is js wild cus ur comparing him fstshaming a girl once to repeatedly bringing up one of his worst traumas .
not to mention, the drowning incident was incredibly traumatic for gibsie considering he himself was dead for a while and his father (who was the parent he was actually close to) and his baby sister died. he couldn't even sit in a bathtub and wouldn't have if claire wasnt there to help him and it was clearly a big improvement bc hugh and sinead were so proud of him for making that seemingly small step
i js find it hard to justify it bc r10 definitely helped me see her side of the story but u can be both a victim and a bully and that's what she was bc she was undeniably gibsies bully and while i mourn their cute lil friendship i will riot of gibsie has to apologize to lizzie (for not speaking up at caoimhe's funeral as if m@rk. wasnt like right beside him)

It was heartbreaking to read Releasing 10 and discover that "Thor" and "Viper" were affectionate nicknames Gibsie and Lizzie gave each other as children, and how they had a beautiful friendship that was destroyed by Mark's cruelty and malice. We hope that in the future they can heal and become good friends again, because these two deserve all the happiness in the world.
