Donnie pulled open the heavy door to The Boat Shed, his eyes instantly doing a quick sweep of the room before settling on his usual corner stool at the bar. He slumped onto the vinyl seat with a loud groan and jutted his elbows onto the wooden bartop. He cleared his throat, eyes tracked Hudson behind the taps.
He didn't bother with a formal greeting, he just tapped two knuckles against the bar top.
"Hey, Hudson," Donnie drawled, his voice a low, gravelly rasp. "Tell me you got something cheap on tap- Running a little short today" he stated as if he wasn't constantly looking for handouts.
He reached into his jeans pocket, casually pulling out a crumpled dollar bill and a handful of coins, dropping them on the counter with zero shame. "I need something, can't you hook me up?"
