Have a problem: so normally my little cross stitch guys look like this:
Note the eyes. Cute! However…Hazbin Hotel has blessed us with a couple of Cyclopes, and I have NO idea how to do the eyes. So:
How do eyes (pics below)?
Single row
Double row
Triple row, bottom row iris color
Triple row, solid iris color
Made my first ever crochet sweater for my niece. A very eye-opening experience, but if the thing doesn’t fall apart within a month, I’ll call it a full success!
(Pattern I used here!)
Potato
(My mother’s coworker at a local middle school was driven to tears by selfish rude entitled parents, so my mother asked if I could make a positivity potato for her. I now have a ten pound box of polyfill and no more excuses to not try more amigurumi patterns in the new year. In fact, it might be imperative XD)
…oh shoot I actually love this

Sometimes. You gotta pass the workday somehow.
Cherri Bomb prototype 1: trying the poll winner of a triple column eye with one iris color row. Stopping immediately bc the hair is too bubblegum, but I think her other colors are pretty good. The hair color is gonna be a problem to match. Sigh. Y’all try finding one color that’s supposed to somehow encapsulate a subtle dusky pink to blond ombré, okay XD anyway. Don’t really like the eye. So, next prototype: make sure it’s the proper size and doesn’t cut off the last row, and go for a double column eye.
(I did make a pattern that basically recreates Cherri’s eye, X and all, but I think in a pattern it looks…unsettling. Might post for kicks and giggles later.)
(…should Cherri’s hair be taller? Bigger? Make use of the extra space created by her half-up side ponytail thing??)
Today on adventures in crochet: found a super cool skull granny square pattern! Also found a super simple bag pattern and thought, I can make a bag from this super cool skull granny square! Spent two and a half hours doing math and color piecing before realizing this granny square is probably not a good thing to use to make a bag with!!! I’m fine!!!! :’)
