Hey, can you please do a peter quill imagine and the reader is a daughter-like figure to him and she accidentally calls him dad? Thanks!
!!! this is such a wholesome request, I had to write it ASAP
You’d gotten yourself held hostage by yet another alien terrorist group. You were only young but you’d been in pursuit of them for months now, and with the help of your mentor – Star-Lord – you were so close to a closed case.
To impress him, you thought it best to go out on a rogue solo mission and take down a high-ranking crime lord that had been on your radar for a while.
This didn’t end well as you found yourself dangling over a pit of hungry mutants, saliva running down their necks as their teeth snapped impatiently.
You sighed, kicking your legs about in the hopes that you could loosen the chains enough to escape. They all laughed at you, watching you struggle and taunting you.
The next thing you knew, you heard the sound of shots being fired and suddenly, the 8 or so aliens who had been keeping you hostage were lying dead on the floor, their discoloured blood drained into the chamber you were dangling above.
You looked up and saw your mentor standing there with his chest heaving. His mask hid his face so there was no telling his current emotional state.
“I was beginning to wonder when you’d show up.” You laughed awkwardly, trying your best to avoid the elephant in the room.
Peter said nothing as he unlocked the chains and helped you to your feet.
You regained your balance, the sudden blood loss from your head made you dizzy.
He removed his mask and clipped you round the back of the head without hesitation. “You are too plucky for your own good.”
“Hey!” you intervened, “Don’t call me plucky… I don’t know what it means.”
Peter sighed, rubbing his face in frustration. “My point is, you can’t put yourself in situations like this with no plan and no back up!”
“But I did have back up! I had you!” You argue.
He let out a groan, “But I’m not always going to be here Y/N!”
“Yeah, well… you were this time! So, thanks a lot daaa… ude… dude.”
“What?”
“Nothing.”
“Did you just call me-“
“NOPE.” And you hastily made your way out of the building and towards The Milano.
Peter stood there for a second, dumbfounded with an even dumber smile on his face.
