ok i'm gonna talk about popular trans rep for a second i have literally never seen a canon trans man character in any popular media that i interact with. every single canon trans character i've seen has been a trans woman or a non-binary person, which is not a bad thing. I like seeing trans people in general on my screen, but I just wish that trans men got the representation that trans women did.
I hate people who tell me that my erasure = privilege because that's just borderline false. I can barely name any historical transmasc figures because people have gone "oh they're just a lesbian" when the "lesbian" in question is literally quoted saying "i am a man and have always been a man". It's so frustrating. erasure =/= privilege for so many goddamn reasons. Some people don't even know that trans men exist, but they know trans women exist.
