On Her Wings ( Part 3 )

As one would think, it's difficult to hide her inky wings. Despite the elegance and them giving her the ability to fly, they are quite cumbersome. Sometimes she'll hide them with the help of a large cloak that trails on the ground, but, there's a method she uses each time she's around people she doesn't want to know her secrets.

With the help of a strong illusion, she can easily hide her wings. This illusion is so strong most cannot see past it. The only exceptions would be Gods or Goddesses being able to see past the illusion, anyone else would live in ignorant bliss. Unless of course Raven trusts your muse, then she will drop the illusion to show them who she really is.

On Witches and Revenge

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." That phrase is a popular saying among the witches, even sometimes the woman is replaced with witch to also apply for the males. There is no more true saying than that one, for witches are a force to be reckoned with when scorned or filled with vengeful wrath.

Some witches may look human, but they are far from it. The main reason why witches are hated across the humans is because they are darker natured and hold power that some believe they don't deserve. More often than not witches are antiheroes—they lack often severely in the morality department ( Raven being included despite her Light Caster abilities ).

Witches have a strong drive to seek revenge against wrongdoings to them or their loved ones. A prime example is when Raven killed Alister because he killed her parents. Similar examples can be found all across witch history, for they have been around for centuries. Only during those times can witches access a phenomenal amount of power that will either terrify ones watching or awe them.

On Her Body Structure/Type and Scars

At a young age, Raven’s was nothing but a beanpole—all gangly and nothing but skin and bones. She wasn’t too clumsy due to her strange height, but did slip up every once in a while. Having never went to school either, she luckily never got picked on for being so tall for her age. It wouldn’t be much, much later in her life that she’d finally develop past this awkward stage.

Raven’s teen years weren’t exactly spent in an awkward phase either. She was still tall, but never lost her lankiness. During this time, her shoulder muscles and stomach muscles did become stronger due to her ability to fly, but, that was the only thing with her body that changed due to her slowed aging process as an angel.

After she escaped from the angel’s grasp, Raven finally hit a serious growth spurt. In a matter of a year, her body caught up with where her mind was at. It’s a good thing she wasn’t around people for long amounts of time, because in a matter of months her body went through puberty and she was very moody during this time due to growing pains. She also had an awkward stage where her wings were shorter than they should’ve been, but it never stopped her from flying.

Now her physical attributes have caught up with her actual age. She’s grown to have more of an athlete’s build with her wider and stronger shoulders and lean muscles. Despite being no more than 70 lbs., she neither looks skinny or has an ounce of fat on her.

On Sickness

A soft smile is on her features as she’s bent down to the little girl’s height in front of her. Gentle, yet eloquent words in another one of the languages known to her is spoken; whatever it is that she says makes the girl smile. After a fleeting hug, the girl races off and Raven stands then watches her go.

It’s always the little things in life that the mercenary seems to love. Making a child’s day is one of them. Maybe she said what she said because the girl reminded her so much of her o w n daughter. Raven’ll never know herself, though.
