The Good Doctor had always been known to overwork herself and despite everyoneās best efforts, there was no stopping her from slaving over her papers, and her research. These were her best attempts at solving problems that may never have solutions. She refused to believe that so, so she searched and searched and searched for possible solutions until she was sitting at her desk, shoulders aching from her hunched position, her head resting in both hands while her breathing remained shallow in frustration.
As Hana approached, she nearly stood, ready to put on her Doctorās facade. The guise of which she hid behind for her patients. She had never had much contact with Hana āassuming the only reason she would come to her would be for some injuryā but as she slid the little paper flower into her hair, the doctorās eyes slid shut a moment.
She took in a deep breath, crystalline eyes reopening to meet that of Hanaās, a small smile pulling at her lips.
_ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āthank you.ā _
She murmured, Ā her fingertips lifting to gingerly graze the folded paper.
_ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āyou made this for me? iām honored.ā_
Hana noticed more things than people ever gave her
c r e d i t
for. And one of the things she had noticed was that Dr. Ziegler overworked herself to a
d a n g e r o u s
point. And her own busy work was origami. Normally, she made paper stars. She had a large jar a
t h i r d
of the way full of them. But she decided that today she wanted to try something different. It took an hour or two before she
f i n a l l y
managed to make a reasonable rose. And with a grin, she formed the plan of giving it to the doctor. Sometimes having something
p r e t t y
around made you feel
b e t t e r .
She approached the doctor, suddenly feeling a little
s t u p i d .
They didnāt know each other, beyond a passing recognition, but here she was,
āI uh⦠I make things.ā She admitted, now playing with her fingers. āI thought youād like the flowerā¦ā Hana felt almost certain she was making a complete
f o o l
of herself, but sheād started now and couldnāt stop. āA-and I⦠I know you work a lot, when I⦠When I have to sit a lot, I make paper stars every so often, so I have to sit up⦠Helps my back and kinda reminds me to sleep and Iā¦I thought maybe you could⦠Because you work so much.ā
