#AboutLastNight . . . Pascale and I have raised a lot of hell, called a lot of BS, and worked together on a lot of efforts to organize events to educate our fellow students and colleagues about white supremacy and racism in Western New England School of Law.Β Β It has not been easy, and a lot of the time, we received a lot of pushback.Β Β Nevertheless, we persisted. Together, we were awarded the James C. Faison Memorial Award for Multicultural Leadership, for our anti-racism work in WNEU Law, and our consistent effort to call BS when we see it.Β Β The Deanβs Suite knew something was up whenever either of us were in their office, and we are a force to be reckoned with.Β Β I normally donβt share awards like this, but this one?Β Β Iβm proud as hell of myself, of Pascale, and of the movement at WNEU Law to beat back on racism. #BLSA and the #NLG are sisters in the struggle at WNEU Law, and I am thrilled to not only be rewarded for this effort, but to share the honor with someone who is just as tired of this bullshit as I am.Β Β The goal is people being free.Β Β We can envision a world where that is going to exist. . . . #BlackLivesMatter. #EndWhiteSupremacy. #WNEULaw. #Graduation. #Classof2018. #QuestToEsq. #RadicalLawyers.
