❛ ——— uma vez em que eu tenha me sentido sobrecarregado… essa é fácil, foram várias. qual você quer ouvir primeiro? bom, vou começar pela história mais óbvia: o meu primeiro dia como trainee. eu sabia que seria complicado porque muitas pessoas fizeram questão de me dizer, mas não imaginei que seria tanto. quer dizer, quando eu iria imaginar que além das aulas de canto, dança e rap, eu também teria que ter aulas de teatro e línguas? já tinha conseguido um trabalho quando comecei, e a agenda maluca que não sabia que teria me fez pedir demissão logo nos primeiros dias. de qualquer forma, hoje fico feliz com todas essas aulas que tenho porque não teria oportunidade de aprender nada disso se não tivesse aceitado ser trainee. ❜

3. If my character was born in a different era, what would I change about him/her?

outtosea. It’d depend on the era. But a lot of his traits can transfer into different eras. He’s still going to be gentlemanly. Still gonna be sarcastic. Still going to have a love of the sea. 

9. If my character were to be given a haircut by me, what would I do?

outtosea. His hair is already so short skjfad. & I def would not get rid of the scruff.

outtosea. Generally with confusion. Especially depending on the m!a that it ends up being.

outtosea. Oh— this is interesting to think about. Benny is more laidback than I am. But m’pretty easygoing. So, I think it’d be easy to just… ‘chill’ with him? I’d probably give him a hard time about…. some things. |: & I’d definitely steal his hat and coat a lot. It’d probs end up a sibling-like type thing going on. Omfg, this is such a weird thing to think of. I’ve never thought of things like this.

6. Favourite thing about character.

outtosea. I don’t know if I could possibly pick just ‘one’ favorite thing about him. There’s a lot about him that I really love. I love that… he’s such a throwback to the old southern gentleman. I love how his pattern of speech is very … drawn out like his drawl. He takes his time saying things. Even if it’s not literally slowed down. I love that… to his core he’s just a good man. Thrown into a horrible situation. And he made the best out of that situation. He was a damn good vampirate. He was amazing in Purgatory. But he’s never really been good at what he wants to be good at. I love that… even if he’s such a good person, he still has so many flaws. Just— there’s a lot.

13. Worse moment for character.

outtosea. It’s not when Andrea was killed in front of him. Twice. I actually think Benny’s worst moment came in the form of a moment we didn’t see onscreen. After he’s killed Martin and he’s struggling so damn hard with what he is. The moment he realizes he’d been kidding himself into thinking he could cut it topside— into believing he could be close to Elizabeth and have all his ducks in a line. That would have been the worst moment for him.

14. Best moment for character.

outtosea. This one is kind of hard to pinpoint. There are various moments that Benny kinda holds close to the chest as ones he’d consider ‘the best’. The first time he sailed the sea with the vampirates. The first time he saw Andrea. Seeing Dean in Purgatory (then his ‘way out’), going back to Purgatory, various ones in here that are more specific to specific people/storylines (ie. feeling like he can actually make it w/ Bishop & gang, stolen moments that m’not gonna get into here, etc.)

11. What is character’s biggest secret?

outtosea. I don’t know how much of this counts as a secret, but. For as much as Benny missed Purgatory, for as much as he felt it was ‘better’ there, for as much as he felt like he belonged there— he wanted to fit in topside. He wanted to be able to live in a world that had moved on without him so many years ago.  He wanted to understand how things worked now. But the truth of the matter was, he couldn’t do it alone. And he’d be damned (more than he already was) if he was going to end up accidentally dragging someone down with him.

8. If I changed your character’s clothing options, what would I change and why?

outtosea. I wouldn’t change anything. Benny’s style of clothing is so very Benny. From the buttons on his coat (which are anchors) to the boots he wears and everything under and in between.
