I'm just two weeks away from the three performances of our play and I'm starting to get nervous because we all feel that we haven't done it right yet and we just have two more rehearsals (because we have rehealsals only once a week), and those rehearsals are tech rehearsal and the last rehearsal the day before the first show and I just needed to tell someone that I'm starting to freak out because we don't even have every costume yet nor every prop....
Man, situations like this are so scary. But remember, all you can do is what you can do. All you can control is your won work and positivity. As much as we’d like to stress about the props and the costumes, there’s just no reason if you don’t have any control over it! So try to put all that energy into working on your own parts and being as prepared as possible for these last two rehearsals. And I’m sure that everybody is freaking out over it, so try to be a calm energy amongst people, which will hopefully bring people’s stress levels down!

they cancelled the show in Chile, and while the production company in charge of the event blames the boys, the boys (and I believe them 100%) say it was the production company's fault. Being a chilean fan, affected by all of this, I am 100% sure it wasn't the boys fault because it isn't the first time a chilean production company has problems with artists and such

Do you know musical theatre songs made famous by singers, cause I'm thinking on auditioning for The Voice Chile next year (again) and they ask for famous songs and I'd love to get some musical theatre in there, since this country is so not-musical

No one's asking me, but in my opinion, being a fan of musicals from a country where musical theatre is almost non-existent, I think that musical movies with famous stars in them are necessary. I got to watch Les Mis at the cinema because of the cast, and I didn't get to watch The Last Five Years because no one knows who Jeremy is. For people living in countries with musical theatre culture may seem like some movies shouldn't be made into movies, but it's vital for me to get to see them
belaptuous Unpopular op: I think movie adaptions of musicals r usually pretty great. Of course theres always exceptions (coughHaircough) but I think theyre at least halfway decent and a great opportunity for peeps like me who dnt have the means 2 see live shows
Yeah!!!!! I agree!!! I didn’t mean to sound like I think movie musicals shouldn’t be made- I’m sorry if I gave that impression! I guess what I meant is just films usually can’t capture as much as a proshot or seeing it live, would. But there are certainly some really good movie musicals. Even though I live near where a ton of shows come on tour, I’ve never seen one that’s a big professional type deal, so I definitely rely on movies and proshots, too.

1/1 Now that you all have been telling your horror stories I felt the need to say this: Be thankful for living where you live. I live in Chile, a country with next-to-no musical theatre culture, so I've never had the chance to be part of a musical because schools don't do that and there are no community theatres that do musicals. I've auditioned both last year and this year to the annual musical a university puts on (didn't get in any of the times..) and that was my only chance this year,
2/2 so I know I won't get to be on a musical, like never, since next year is my last year at uni and I should focus on my own career (journalism) and I don't think I'll be able to audition. So yeah, that's what I wanted to say. Be thankful for living in a country that gives you the chance to do musical theatre, even if it is in the most amateur way possible. Trust me, I'd love to have a horror story...
