Date interrupted || Queg
Greg was standing at Quinn's door, anxiously waiting for her to open up so they could go on their date. The girl had been on his mind a lot since the party, but after last night it just seemed to increase the amount of time he thought about her. "Hey," he grinned and hugged her back, opening the door for her when they reached his car, "Do you like Italian food?"
Quinn climbed into his car carefully, buckling her seatbelt once she was in. "Yeah, I love it," she said, nodding her head.
Greg "Good. And we're not going to Breadstix, just so you know," he laughed as he got into the driver's seat, pulling the car out of the drive way to start heading towards the far end of town, "My friend's family has this little restaurant that most people don't even know about because it's so small. But it's the best Italian food I've ever had. So, that's where I'm taking you."
Quinn "Oh?" she questioned, her eyebrows perking up at him. She watched as they drove, curious as to where this place was. "As long as you're not planning on murdering me and burying my body is some reservoir afterwards."
Greg gave her a devilish grin for a moment, "Please, I'd totally go with tossing your body in the dumpster. Much classier."
Quinn reached over and took his hand, "You're such a liar. As if you could kill me."
Greg "And how do you know that hasn't been the plan since the party?" he teased and squeezed her hand lightly while making a turn at a red light, "I'm just kidding. I could never kill you."
Quinn 's eyebrows perked up once more at his words, but as soon as he squeezed her hand she let out a laugh. "I could never kill you either, for the record."
Greg "Good to know neither of us are on a date with a psycho killer," he laughed and pulled the car into a parking space in front of building that most people would never expect to be an actual working restaurant, "Don't let the outside fool you. His grandma wanted to keep it like this outside, for some reason."
Quinn "I have no idea where we are," she admitted, glancing around at their surroundings once they were parked. "But I believe you. Now, let's go eat, because I'm famished," the blonde winked at him, slipping out of the car and waiting for him to join her before heading for the door.
Greg "If it was daytime, you probably would. School is only about a mile down the road," he said and started to get out of the car, leading her to the door with a hand on the small of her back. Being greeted immediately by his friend's grandmother who barely spoke english but repeatedly kissed his cheek. "She's as bad as my own grandmother," he said, slightly embarrassed as he pulled Quinn's chair out for her when they got to the table.
Quinn "Whoa," she said, slightly shocked. And she repeated it again as they entered the restaurant, because it looked pretty awesome inside. "Oh, it's adorable," Quinn said, smiling assuringly as she sat. "So, do you bring all of your second dates here?"
Greg "It's embarrassing," Greg groaned as he took his own seat and shook his head, hiding the frown that threatened to appear, "No. You're the first girl I've gone out with in over a year."
Quinn "Adorable," she said, narrowing her eyes at him. "Really? I feel sort of honored, actually."
Greg rolls his eyes playfully and shook his head before nodding and keeping his expression happy to hide the sad that went along with the unmentioned subject, "You should. It's a pretty big deal, if I do say so myself."
Quinn pressed her lips together knowingly, because she could definitely sense a change in his expression, yet she figured he was saving it for tenth date material. "Alright, change of subject. What's good to eat here?"
Greg thought the menu over in his head for a second, not even needing to look at it to tell her, "The lasagna is delicious. Same with any of the pastas. But the chicken parm is by far my favorite."
Quinn "Then I guess we're both getting the chicken parm," she said, smirking as the waitress approached their table.
Greg "Looks that way," he grinned, ordering his food when the waitress walked over and waited for Quinn to do the same, "So, how was your day?"
Quinn "Chicken parm and a diet coke please," she said, waiting for the waitress to leave before turning back to Greg. "Pretty okay. I called up the magazine and said what you told me to... they agreed!"
Greg gave her a huge grin when she told him about the magazine, "I told you it would work. That's awesome, Quinn. Congratulations. You might wanna make sure you thank your friend who submitted them."
Quinn "Thanks," she said, frowning slightly at the thought of Sam once more. No matter what, he always had a way of sneaking into her mind. "Yeah, I will. Later. First, how was your day?"
Greg "It was good. I had to go put an order in for an emergency order of Clean Teen shirts before Evelyn has a heart attack about their being too much blue and not enough pink or black," he laughed and shook his head, "Other than that, it was boring until now."
Quinn "I still can't believe you're a Clean Teen," she said, shaking her head a bit in disbelief, "It's admirable, though. I don't know how you do it."
Greg grinned and shook his head, "It's not hard. But how it happened is a very long story for another time. For me, it's not even about thinking sex is wrong. It's just about keeping values and not sleeping around the way most people at our school do."
Quinn "So does that mean you still have sex, as long as it's committed?" she asked, "Not that I'm.. propositioning you or anything. Just generally curious."
Greg "I...haven't been in the situation since I joined. So, I don't really know. I just know I'm not opposed to sex out of wedlock, as long as the two people truly love each other," he said and blushed a little with a smile in her direction, "I didn't think you were propositioning me, Quinn."
Quinn "That makes sense," she said, nodding her head as their food arrived. When he blushed, the blonde smiled. 'He's adorable,' she thought lamely to herself, picking up her knife and fork and digging in.
Greg "Does me being in Clean Teen's change your opinion of me?" he asked curiously while starting to cut up his chicken and pasta that just arrived, taking a bite while he waited for her to answer.
Quinn shook her head, swallowing her food before answering, "Not at all. I think it's admirable, to be honest."
Greg "Good to know," he nodded and took a sip of his water, "A lot of people think it's stupid or whatever. But I think it's good to stand for what you believe in, you know?" He took another bite of his food before looking at her with a smile, "How's the food?"
Quinn "Yeah, I definitely know. I guess I should start doing the same with my own beliefs, really," she paused, taking another bite and nodding her head, "Delicious. Definitely the best Italian I've ever had."
Greg "And what beliefs might those be?" he asked her curiously while twirling some of his pasta onto his fork, "Told you. And you probably thought you were gonna walk away with food poisoning or something when we first pulled up, right?"
Quinn "They're aren't exactly the same as yours... at all, actually," she laughed, "I guess you noticed I'm a huge fan of music. It's the most important thing in my life besides my art and my dad, but lately the music scene has been out of whack. I just want music to mean something again," she smirked at his question. "Alright, I'll admit it, yes, a little. But this is wonderful. Thanks for taking me here."
Greg "I didn't realize Lima ever even had a music scene," he laughed but nodded as the rest of what she said, "I know what you mean. Do you have any ideas for making that happen?" He laughed when she admitted to what he said and nodded, "It's my pleasure."
Quinn "Oh, god, it didn't. This place sucks when it comes to music," she paused, "Which is why I sort of think we need a club. Like a performance place so we can actually have concerts where us kids can just get out for a night and experience something /real,/ you know?"
Greg raised an eyebrow and thought over everything she just said, "That sounds pretty awesome, actually. Do you know anyone who could help you make that happen? Cause if so, then I say do it."
Quinn shook her head, thinking of any possibilities. "I mean, Rachel's sister Joelle owns a business, so maybe she could help."
Greg finished up his food, taking a drink of his water before nodding, "So, talk to her. See what she thinks about it. The worst she can say is no and then you try someone else."
Quinn "You're really good with advice," she said, smirking. "First the magazine, now this."
Greg "I wouldn't really consider this advice," he laughed, "The magazine stuff though, you'd have to thank my dad for that."
Quinn "Then I'll thank him when I meet him," she nodded, finishing off her meal.
Greg "I can make that happen," he grinned and grabbed the dessert menu from the back of the table, "Anything from here you want?"
Quinn "Depends," she paused, pursing her lips, "Do they have cannolis?"
Greg "They happen to have best cannolis in all of Ohio," he said while signaling the waitress over and ordering the dessert for them both.
Quinn "I'll be the judge of that," she teased, hitting his leg playfully under the table.
Greg jokingly winced like she had hurt him but laughed anyways, "After what you just ate, you actually doubt me? I can't believe this."
Quinn pouted, nodding her head. "You're a good debater. Ever thought of being a lawyer?"
Greg "Put that pout away. It's lethal. You and my friend Anna have the worst pouts. And by worst, I mean adorable," he said with a playful roll of his eyes, "Never, actually. Think I'd be any good?"
Quinn "Adorable, huh? I will continue then," she teased, pouting once more before nodding her head. "Yeah, I think so. You're confident."
Greg "That is completely unfair," he huffed with a smirk before shaking his head, "I'm not that confident."
Quinn "Oh, and how do you plan on stopping me?" she asked, locking her eyes on his in a slightly challenging way. "Not in a bad way, but you're just confident enough."
Greg "I have an idea," he winked at her and smirked all at once, "Okay, good. For a second I thought you meant I was some cocky douchebag who thinks he's better than everyone."
Quinn "I tend to like your ideas," she smirked, though shook her head at his words. "I would never say that," she promised, grinning as their desserts arrived. "Oh, wow. Those look like art. Like, I don't even want to eat them."
Greg "I think we'll both like this one," he grinned and picked a fork when the plate was set down in front of him, "You better eat them. Or else you'll get a lecture in Italian."
Quinn blushed, lowering her head so he couldn't see it. However, at his comment about the dessert, she feigned frightened, before picking up her fork and breaking off a peice of a cannoli.
Greg "That's what I thought," he laughed and took a bite, licking his lips afterwards to get the excess chocolate off of them.
Quinn "This is possibly the best date I've ever been on, solely based on the food alone," she said, glancing up at him mischeviously.
Greg "I told you that it was the best in Ohio," he nodded and grinned back at her.
Quinn "Now I am inclined to believe every word you say," she noted, finishing up her cannoli.
Greg "That's the way it should be," he said with a mock-serious nod of his head before laughing and pushing his plate away, motioning for the check to be brought to him.
Quinn gave him one of those 'you're wonderful' smiles, before taking a sip of her water and watching as the waitress brought over their check. "Here," she said, pulling her wallet out of her bag and handing him a ten.
Greg looked at the money she had handed him and just chuckled, "You're kidding, right? Put that away. I'm taking you out on a date which means I'm paying. Had you asked, you could have paid."
Quinn shook her head, "I asked you to meet for coffee yesterday and you still ended up paying," she pointed out, yet put the ten back into her wallet before throwing her wallet into her bag. "Thank you, though."
Greg "Eh, details," he waved off and dropped plenty of cash onto the table, and enough to cover a tip, "Come on, beautiful. Let's get out of here."
Quinn blushed once more at the compliment, nodding her head and standing up. She reached for Greg's hand, eager to feel it in hers, before heading back to his car. "Where to, Mr.?
Greg laced his finger's through hers, leading the way towards his car and thought out loud, "Hmm, I dunno. You pick."
Quinn "Wanna come over?" she asked, leaning into his side slightly, hopeful that he would agree.
Greg "Definitely," he grinned and kissed her cheek before releasing her to open the car door, allowing her to get inside then going over to the driver's side to get in and take off towards her house.
Quinn felt her body heat up as he kissed her cheek, agreeing to come over. She got into the car and relaxed in the seat, enjoying the silence that filled the vehicle on the drive over. Opening up the front door, Quinn led him inside. "So this is my house," she said rather lamely, before reaching for his hands once more. "And that would be my couch."
Greg pulled to a stop in front of her house, allowing her to lead him into the house. "You could make a lot of money being a tour goud," he teased with a poke to her side while taking a seat on the couch, pulling her down on it with him and wrapping an arm around her.
Quinn "Yeah? I should drop out of school now and start my career, then," she teased back, jumping slightly as he poked her. She fell onto the couch beside him, resting her head on his chest with a content sigh.
Greg "I support this one hundred percent," he said with a laugh, letting his hand rub lightly up and down her back, "So, what do you wanna do?"
Quinn "I'm pretty sure you were going to try and make me stop being adorable or something like that," Quinn stated, glancing up at him with innocent eyes.
Greg "Hmm, now that I think about it, I do believe something of the sort was mentioned," he said before closing the distance between them and pressing his lips to hers.
Quinn smiled against his lips, kissing him back eagerly, her arm snaking around his neck to pull him closer.
Greg kissed her back, holding her close with the arm around her waist and letting his lips work against hers for a moment before he deepened it slightly.
Quinn moved so she sat on his lap comfortably, her hands resting on his shoulders, hoping that she wasn't crossing any boundaries. As he deepened the kiss, Quinn's mouth opened slightly and she nibbled softly on his lower lip.
Greg wrapped his arms more securely around Quinn's waist when she got onto his lap, not even hesitating to pull her closer. When Quinn deepened the kiss, Greg daringly let his tongue slip out to slide across her bottom lip to ask for entrance once she had released his from her teeth.
Quinn feeling his tongue graze her lower lip, a soft moan escaped the back of her throat and she reacted by opening her mouth, her tongue sliding against his.
Greg: 's tongue massaged against Quinn's before moving to explore her mouth, scraping lightly against the roof of her mouth while his hand moved through her hair to rest on the back of her head.
Quinn 's fingers tangled in his hair, tugging ever so lightly as she continued kissing him, her body pressed right up against his chest. It was then that she heard a noise from the front door and pulled back, surprised to see Sam turning around and leaving through the front door. She was stuck between chasing after him and just letting him go and staying with Greg. Turning back to the boy whose lap she was seated on, Quinn sighed. "I'm sorry."
Greg was about to change their position on the couch when there was a noise and they both pulled away from each other. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked at Quinn, "Was that the quarterback?"
Quinn nodded her head sadly, feeling her heartbeat slowing down. "Sam, yeah."
Greg "Why was he here?" he asked with a confused expression, not understanding anything.
Quinn finally moved to the empty space on the couch and pulled her legs up to her chest as she tried to recount their history. "Sam's had this crush on me for years. Not in a creepy way. We finally started talking about a month ago, only I was still dating Puck. Puck was cheating on me with my best friend Santana and we broke up the same day I got a call that my father was possibly dead. Sam and I went to a identify a body and we had to spend the night in a motel. We...made out, until Taylor called him. He had just asked her out on a date before we left, because he didn't think he stood a chance with me. Doing the right thing, he started dating her... we had this unrequited love sort of thing going on, but then I met you and I started getting happy again. I don't know what he came by for, he's dating Taylor."
Greg listened as she started to explain everything, doing his best to keep up before sighing when she was done. "I think..you should figure out what's going on wtih you and him, Quinn. I like you. But you should figure that out before we attempt anything serious," he said and brushed her hair out of her face, "Feelings are something we can't control. And you owe it to yourself to try with him, especially since it seems like this has been going on for awhile."
Quinn frowned, nodding her head because deep down she knew that he was right. She didn't want to string him along and then end up hurting him in the same way Puck had hurt her. Finally, she looked back up at him, a very subtle smile on her lips. "Where did you even come from?" she asked, rhetorically.
Greg raised an eyebrow and pretended to think about it, "I think that's a lesson you should ask your dad."
Quinn reached over and smacked his arm playfully, "You're a jerk."
Greg laughed and retracted his arm away from her while sticking his tongue out playfully, "I know you are but what am I?"
Quinn "Four years old, apparently," she teased, rolling her eyes at him.
Greg "Only a little," he laughed and stood up from the couch, motioning towards the door, "I guess I should go so you can check on Sam."
Quinn "Yeah, I guess so," she agreed, feeling slightly sad that he was leaving. "Thank you..for everything."
Greg "No reason to thank me. It's the right thing to do," he smiled slightly and leaned over to kiss her cheek before going to walk out the door, smiling one last time before he shut it behind him.
