There comes a time in every person’s life when they get a crush or, eventually, fall in love. It’s only really thought-provoking when you find yourself in a situation where you like the same sex. Every gay, lesbian, bisexual, etc. has gone through that situation where they’ll suddenly be obsessed with someone of the same sex, and if you don’t know about it being natural, it can be quite the mind-fuck.

As the juvenile 11-year-old I was, I did not know about it being natural, however, I also did not know about it being unnatural. I got into my first relationship with a girl thinking it was just another normal day, and that’s exactly why addressing LGBTQ+ related things to children is important. If one day they find themselves in that situation (and trust me not a lot of people thought like I did) then it would be so much helpful for them to know that it’s totally normal. 

And no, it does not mean they’ll become gay/lesbian, bisexual, etc. just because they know about it. If they really are gay/lesbian, bisexual, etc. then they will be because that’s just how they were born.

SO to whomever crushing on a lil’ special someone of the same sex,

6: Favorite bands—I love love love Florence and the Machine…I got to see them live this past year and it was like the best concert ever. Imagine Dragons is also really high up on that list…their whole album is awesome.

7: Biggest turn offs—bad hygiene in general is a pretty big one. It also kinda skeeves me out when people come on really really strong right off the bat. Confidence is good, but I like to get to know people first, and being that forward gives me the impression that they just want sex or something (from my experience, at least).

12: Ideas of a perfect date—honestly, I would love a date that consisted of building a blanket fort and having a movie marathon or something like that. Nothing super crazy. Although last night I did go see ‘Wicked’ (which is like my all time favorite musical, but that’s a different story) with the girl I’m dating right now, and tbh that was a pretty near perfect date.

2: A picture of me--I'm actually not gonna do this one...I'm not out yet and several of my friends at school have tumblr and them finding my tumblr isn't really how I want to come out haha. Sorry! 

5: Piercings I have--I only have my ears pierced from when I was like 13, but I hardly ever wear earrings. Only for special occasions and stuff.

17: A fact about my life--Ahh these questions are always hard...I'm so boring! Ummmmm well I've been playing the piano for 15 years! Hopefully that's a fun enough fact?
