Being a Queer therapist in this climate has been a learning experience. I want to tell my queer clients that things will be ok, but I’m not sure they will be. Instead I remind them that they are not alone, their gender identity is real and Valid, and that I hear them and see them. If you’re a queer person seeking therapeutic support reach out. Please. I have resources for Pa, and I can find you supports in your city/state/country. You deserve support, and validation. Don’t let this climate snuff you out.
oh there’s my interest in sex - I’m attracted to women, not men. silly me.
Trans people and sex workers share common enemies
I wrote this piece for QueerAF, which takes only a couple of minutes to read, to explain that trans people and sex workers have a lot in common and how the same bigoted rhetoric is used against each of us.
"We should all be trusted to make our own choices, whether that be when it comes to transitioning or doing sex work. Unfortunately, transphobic and whorephobic people alike seek to curb our autonomy."

I'm interested in QueerAF and subbing after you linked it and I'd love to read your story but are most of the writers white?
I don't know the exact breakdown of all the queer writers they feature in terms of race, but you can see some of the recent writers in their Queer Gaze section here. They make a point of platforming writers to give them a leg up in the journalistic world, so a lot of the writers are lesser-known and it's been great to see their writing featured - it does look like the majority of featured writers have been white, and I'd like to see a broader diversity of voices.
Whether the newsletter is for you or not, some of the pieces end up on the website and I'd encourage you to read a few of them!
Here are some of my favourite recent featured writers, with links to their pieces, many of whom are writers of colour:
How Racism and Islamophobia are linked to Transphobia in the UK
How queer grassroots sport can build on the success of this year’s Olympics
Anti-trans movement has a new target: The asexual community
Inspired by queer history, Trans Kids Deserve Better occupy Department for Education
Learning lessons from PrEP will help in so many LGBTQIA+ healthcare battles
