It is known now that I either post one time a year on this blog or post a compilation of posts all at once like a blog dump for all of the exciting things I did throughout the year previously. The real question is, do people even read blogs anymore? I actually hate putting my content online now because you know monitoring spirits and jealous people who don’t know you but hate you just because. Anyhow this is a recap of my 28th birthday and why this new age is extremely personal to me. I’ll be 30 in 2 years so i’m giving myself grace and forgiving myself for all of the mistakes I’ve made. This not just twenty great, this is twenty grace.

On this lovely day of July 8th, my sister and I traveled to Queens, NY to what would be the best concert I have ever attended in my life. The Love Damini Fest was amazing and all I can say is you had to be there!

Stop 2: Erykah Badu concert at Prudential Center (I love Erykah Badu but that concert was a different experience…)

Ironically enough I don’t like hosting parties. I actually wasn’t interested in celebrating my birthday this year because a lot was going on with me personally. However I wanted to do a beach celebration with my close friends and family. This intimate beach day was full of love, laughter and so much heat! I think I chose the hottest day in July to go on the beach. I’m grateful for everyone that came out and rocking with me in the heat beacause woooh chileee it was hot!

I’ve been experimenting with new hairstyles and the mullet has ben on my mood board for a year now. I was happy I finally got to try this style even though It was short lived being that it was a quickweave. I would definitely do this style again but probably get a wig already cut in the mullet style and tweak it to frame my face.
