get you a girl
@queeninbrown and I created a ship of our OCs and can I just say I’m in too deep? Here’s a quick comic of a scene we did between them.
Something I wrote for @queeninbrown for National Girlfriend’s Day yesterday!

i will find you where the stars meet
The Death
He had found her.
Just as he promised.
When she was in the land of darkness and despair, where the souls around her wailed songs in tongues of other lands, where the only shred of light resided in Lady Persephone’s eyes, he had found her.
He had torn the world apart with nothing but his voice and his hands on the lyre.
Her Orpheus.
She was wearing a flowing soft brown dress that day, as was tradition among the dryads. On her head she donned a delicate tiara made of oakwood, a symbol of her heritage. Her dark hair, naturally weaved with small leaves, had been tied halfway up. She looked no less fairer than Helen of Troy.
Her beauty became her bane as a satyr pursued her endlessly through the woods. As she stumbled and fell in her escape, a viper took deadly aim and sunk its teeth into her ankle. She laid there immobile for several minutes, having no choice but to let the poison infiltrate her body before she heard Orpheus.
When he found her, his eyes were frantic, but his touch was ever so gentle as he took her in his arms. His face, oh that gods-blessed face, contorted as he took what had happened and all that she was going to be.
“Even in death, you are beautiful, delicia mea.”
She closed her eyes at the sound of his voice. His voice, which made the stars dim their brightness in respect, which mesmerized every creature, which made her very being melt away.
He was crying now, his shoulders shaking with the force of his sobs. As she was departing to that other world she knew was coming, she heard him.
“I will find you.”
The Song
He had found her.
It had been thirteen days since she had died. Her soul was among the undead, the ones that lingered on the threshold of life and death.
She had seen him through a veiled curtain of mist. What was left of her heart wrenched in her chest as he saw him. He looked beyond devastated. He started to talk, but the servants of Hades would barely let him stand.
Then he began to sing.
And she knew, in that moment, there was nothing his voice couldn’t do.
She will never forget this moment.
The love of her life, on his knees, singing the ballad of their love and tragedy. Of her beauty. Of his undying endearment for her, which transcends the boundaries of living and not living. Of his simple desire to hold her hand.
And on the other side, the rulers of the dead. Hades and Persephone. As Orpheus sang about his longing, about his journey across the Earth, Persephone tightened her hand on Hades’s shoulder and looked down to find his eyes brimming with tears.
And then his tears fell, like drops of molten iron.
Her Orpheus had moved the god of the dead.
The Stars
And so they walked, she behind him. With every step came the promise of sunlight, the promise of holding her love’s face. With every step, she inched closer to him, until she was almost touching him. He stiffened then, and a tremor ran through him.
She didn’t think it was entirely because of the coldness radiating from her body.
She longed to touch him, to just extend a hand and touch his bare shoulder. But she must digress.
Only a few more moments; they were almost there, she kept telling her impatient heart.
And finally, they reached the threshold between worlds. She could see constellations shimmering beyond, waiting for her arrival.
Then she softly whispered, “Orpheus.”
“Turn around.”
His back went stiff; she could see the muscles in his back tensing, as she had seen countless times before.
“Hades was very clear; I am not allowed to look at you until we reach the living world,” he replied, his head barely turning to the side, cautious as to not catch even a glimpse of her.
“Turn around, my love.”
“Eurydice, please.” She could hear his voice cracking as he said her name. “Ask me anything, I will give you the world if you wish. But please don’t ask this of me.”
How could she not? The stars had reminded her that her time on this Earth was over. The dead could not come back to life, and no amount of love could change that. The Fates had woven her strands out to be this: to live a short, beautiful life.
“Orpheus,” she whispered again. She could see his mind stopping him, see him shaking from the restraint of listening to her.
“I want to see you, darling,” she urged, hating herself for doing this to him. He fell to his knees now, tears falling freely into his lap.
“Please,” he repeated, his angelic voice barely more than a breath. “Please.” She kissed his shoulder then, and that was the undoing. He turned, his sapphire eyes meeting her forest green. There was centuries’ worth of pain in his eyes.
And with the blanket of stars behind them, she cupped his face in her hands.
“You are my love.”
She placed a kiss to his brow and remained that way until she faded, until she was nothing more than silver dust in the vast blackness. Orpheus touched his head to the ground, the torment of having lost his love twice, right in front of his eyes, overcoming him. He cried for days, on the doorsteps to death, begging Hades to take him too. He mourned for the rest of his life.
Few moments before, Eurydice had wondered if she would see him again. But in her heart she knew that the man she loved would live in Elysium, for he deserved nothing less. And she would be granted Asphodel, the middle ground between Elysium and Tartarus, as a punishment for Orpheus’s tears.
Theirs was a story not written to survive. It would not be read to children, it would not be told in weddings. Instead, it would be whispered in stolen kisses and illicit touches. It would be sung in goodbyes and fleeting embraces.
It would be found where the stars meet.

Daisies: What is the greatest accomplishment of your life?
Okay so the one that immediately came in my mind was the calligraphy project i did in the end of last year. I wrote the entirety of the first chapter of Abhang Dyaneshwari, Arjun-Vishad Yog, which had 430 verses, along with misc stuff. It is a huge booklet thingy, consisting of 11 full imperial sheets (with text on both sides) and it took me two months to finish. I made an accompanying artwork for it, which was on the last page of the project
Piercings: Do you wear a lot of makeup? Why/why not?
It depends on the situation actually. On the daily, i just put on some compact powder and lip tint and eyeliner if I'm feeling fancy. If it is some special occasion, i go all out with a proper base and all.
As for why, i just like it 🤷🏻♀️ I like to experiment with my face, now that I've learned to accept myself as i am. Also my mother's a make up artist, so my endeavours get professional back up(she won't let me buy black lipstick tho :/)
HI RADHIKA (btw i love your name, its super pretty) if you're still doing calligraphy asks, could you do "ash, will you be my gaylentine?" i wanted show it to my girlfriend on friday bc i absolutely love your art and calligraphy ajkhfd
Omg thanks 😖
Also this request is pretty cute dhkhfs
