When you read fanfiction
I was reading Return of the Dragon Rider by QueenAurora (https://m.fanfiction.net/s/10812036/1/Return-of-the-Dragon-Rider) and I found the best quote in Chapter 33. "People cry, not because they're weak, but because they have been strong for too long." ~Wrenlou It makes me happy to read stuff like this.
The Ghost Pride Hierarchy
The Ghost Pride's Hierarchy is made up of the most accomplished and courageous warriors in the Pride. Although a peaceful clan, the Pride has been under constant threat of invasion in numerous forms. The Pride rules the Arctic Circle, land that most would consider desolate and inhospitable. That hasn't stopped the world's power-hungry nations from attempting to conquer the land for it's strategic territorial advantage on top of the world. The Ghost Pride honors their warriors who are faced with the ultimate task of defending this last great, and peaceful nation.
Along side the warriors in the hierarchy there are the rulers and their descendants. Each of the three great arctic tribes, Ghost Leopards, Arctic Wolves, and Ice Bears, have a long lineage of ruling families. Culture and Tradition are the Pride's most treasured values. Therefor the families are the most trusted and respected members of the Pride's hierarchy. Only a member of an Arctic Tribe can become part of this hierarchy. Outsiders are welcome in the pride and are considered a valuable asset in maintaining the Pride's integrity among the world's nations. But outsiders are strictly prohibited from becoming a member of the hierarchy without the word of the Pride's King or Queen.
And here we are today. A young queen tasked with protecting the future of the Pride. Her name is Aurora of the Ghost Leopard Tribe. She is the only descendent of the previous rulers King Odin and Queen Azahri. They were unanimously given the crown after they peacefully ended the Great Conflict between the three Tribes. Now, after the King and Queen have both passed, their only child was placed in their position. Though no one questions the young Queen's character. She has demonstrated integrity, respect, bravery, and love in every aspect of her life. The Pride's wise elders say their young Queen is the destined savior of all things good. Aurora leads courageously in battle and speaks softly to her people. But Queen Aurora faces tougher challenges ahead. The temptations in the modernizing world will prove to be her greatest challenges to overcome. Can she win against her lustful desires of sex, love, and submission?
