Thing is feminism is taken so seriously and some people are so driven that I don't wanna be seen as a feminist either so yo I totally feel you. I still think my mom should get just as much money for the same job as her male coleague who gets like twice as much.
if that’s a thing that happens then it should be taken up with whoever is in charge of their paychecks, like that’s just not cool
but the strive for equality doesn’t always have to equal feminism, i think? especially when the public opinion of feminism is so low because of a lot of very stupid demands made in recent years and the societal pressure to identify as a feminist or you’re a “bad person” because like... just because i’m not into activism or labeling myself politically doesn’t mean i’m inherently bad.....
obviously if real adversities against equality and getting unequal payment for equal jobs come up i’ll think it’s uncool but when feminism starts trying to take up battles against people’s opinions and actively silencing them i’m just... why are you so against free speech? all you need is a little backbone, you don’t have to enforce the stereotype of the pissy, easily offended feminist
