it was a rarity, of course, but then...resse was also said to be from a world where visions weren’t the norm, and humans weren’t capable of harnessing elemental power as those from teyvat were. besides the outlander, the earthling was also an oddity. while lumine was able to wield elemental power despite her lack of vision, resse gained a vision but seemed unable to use it without it being overpowering.

the first steps to understanding a vision, though, was to understand what visions were created by.

perhaps it is these unusual circumstances that cause the vision to resist such attempts to restrain it, like an animal so used to defending itself. for some reason, it would try to cocoon resse within ice upon using it, leaving it practically a chain of the gods.

but he knew that even the tsaritsa wouldn’t have been so cruel with a vision like this.

“for now, i’d like you to focus. we want you to first prevent yourself from ‘cocooning’, or at least from doing so entirely. i want you to think about a time when you felt defenseless...and then a time when you felt safe.”

for some, it might have seemed entirely too simple. how would such questions help to control a vision as unruly as this? but the answer was that it wouldn’t; it was merely a step towards understanding why the vision was attempting to act like this upon being used.

instead,  he  forced  a  smile  ——  and  not  a  scrap  of  discomfort  appeared  on  his  face.  if  nothing  else,  cecropia  was  at  least  good  at  pretending  it  didn’t  bother  him;  he  had  no  shortage  of  experience  with  that.

"i didn't think anyone else from earth would show up here, honestly!" for a good while, it was just him and alex being the ones to share the commonality. even so, the fact that this woman was clearly in earth clothing meant that this was likely something separate from the whole corynacht thing.

thank fuck. he didn't want to deal with another corynacht situation.

getting spat out from the lamp onto some lady’s desk wasn’t the way iago had expected to be freed from that godforsaken lamp, but considering jafar was still trapped and probably seething...yeah. he was going to take advantage of the situation for their benefit.

( also, it wasn’t like he had much of a place to go to. who even knew if agrabah still existed, if jafar had been telling the truth of how long they’d been STUCK in the lamp? )

simply because i must bully you, i’ll throw kaeya as the first and second answers.

yes, kaeya’s a romantic. dates of fancy dinners with wine, bouquets of flowers, letting you wrap your arms around one of his own...if you’re his partner, you’re going to be treated very well. he’ll even come up with nicknames for you, though he’s already calling you “darling” and “dear” lmao.

Do they dream of love and marriage?

kaeya does, albeit on his own terms rather than the arranged one his parents attempted. he’s grown to believe that he wants to trust someone entirely with who he is and the role he’d once been present for, so if things are looking serious, he’ll start opening up a couple of his secrets.

Is your muse comfortable with public displays of affection?

diluc’s shy about it at first. it takes forever for him to hold your hand, but when he starts doing so, he’ll do it a lot. like kaeya, he wants to know if he can trust you as the relationship grows more serious; unlike kaeya, it’s less that he has a lot of secrets and more that he doesn’t want to get hurt. once you’ve essentially earned his trust, he eases into allowing more pda.

Is your muse attracted to any features in particular?

when it comes to all genders, he’s kind of an ass man, and he also tends to let his eyes wander to his partner’s abs if they have those defined.
