Kindness is scary. Rampant anger, hate and every negative spectrum were preferable but the other side existed within him, he can express and make use of those emotions he avoided so eagerly.
All his life pretending not a trace of it existed in him were poured at once in this instance. Yet, he still can't be bothered and insecurities were meaningless against her crying face.
His lips brushed against her forehead, he didn't think of it nor tried to figure out what motivated this action.
