That was one of the funnest parts for me to write 😂
So, Quasar Chronicles was originally supposed to be a TV show. My sister and I came up with the concept probably...12 years ago now? Mahaleth was supposed to be the “calm, steady one” of his species. That begged the question: what would a regular Touchy Feely act like?
We ended up with Lorimar as the answer—emotions running high above all else. He fell in “love” at first sight. We picked Shira as his target because she was the shy one, and that would force her to have some character growth.
By the time we meet Lorimar in Gained in Translation (around episode 4 or 5 of season 1), he’s already tried to win Shira’s heart in several flamboyant and awkward ways, including the ill-fated climbing contest.
