alien headcanons bc i cant sleep. since im half asleep while writing these if they go against canon and dont make sense oh well!
these currently are about the asari (mostly asari pairing children), drell, and quarians!
Asari
i like to believe that asari pairings have unique traits passed down to their offspring! as for what they are, here are some thoughts:
asari/asari pairings produce children with stronger-than-usual biotics and tend to be more of a true blue than other pairing's children.
asari/quarian pairings produce children with weak immune systems, but not as weak as a quarian's. they get sick more often, but not to the point where they need to live in a suit.
asari/turian pairings produce children with a higher resistance to solar radiation. as with their turian parent, they also have traces of thulium in their skin, which makes their skin tougher and shinier, similar to a turian's carapace.
asari/salarian children tend to have a higher I.Q. and shorter lifespans than others. they also speak a lot quicker and imprint on the asari parent.
asari/krogan children are more aggressive than other children. they also live longer than a normal asari due to both the parents having long lifespans. they are also more resistent to nuclear radiation. the offspring of krogan and asari have a higher chance of having twins, triplets, etc..
asari/hanar kids are able to breathe underwater through their gills, thanks to the hanar parent. they may also have bioluminescent skin.
asari/vorcha children are not only allergic to dairy, but also have sharper teeth like their vorcha parent. they're also immune to *all* diseases/have a incredibly strong immune system.
asari/drell offspring are more sensitive to humidity and thus prefer dry climates like their drell parents. they can also remember almost every detail in their long, long life, but cannot slip into those memories.
asari/batarian children have more of a "guttural" voice than the others. their skin can have a faint yellow or brown mix to it that will either be shown through their markings or some other expression. they also tend to have better eyesight thanks to their batarian parent.
asari/volus children are able to breathe in ammonia-based environments. they are also shorter compared to other asari.
asari/elcor offspring have a strong sense of smell and have thicker skin. they can also understand elcor better than non-asari/elcor pairings.
asari/human kids are immune to many, if not all, human-based diseases (diseases that afflict other species they have an average immunity to). they also inherit the genetic diversity of their human parent, making it so they can have eye colors that asari typically don't have.
when it comes to asari, i also believe that they lay eggs or something similar and lay their eggs through the back of their head where all the tentacles meet. sounds crazy, i know, but they're aliens! cmon! it's sci-fi!
my last asari headcanon (SORRY THIS WAS SO LONG) is that they have no defined appearance, they all look different depending on the species looking at them.

Drell
this section will be a LOT shorter than the asari i promy.
i believe drell have different skin tones depending on their gender at birth. mab drell tend to have cooler tones like blue, green, and purple while fab drell tend to have warmer tones like orange, yellow, and red.
drell with more vibrant skin tones have more potent venom to the point where it can cause more severe things than hallucinations, like vomiting or fainting (or both).

Quarians
quarians have no teeth. hear me out.
tali has shown us that the suits have a hole used for things like straws and i'm sure it's a huge pain in the ass to take off the mask and eat solid foods. you risk infection and SURELY people would know what quarians looked like if they took off their masks to eat.
so they dont!
ever since quarians started living in their suits, they adjusted the way they eat. they grind everything down to a paste and suck it through a straw, never having to chew anything. this is how they feed their young in the bubble and all the way up til they die.
do they lose their teeth as a kid and never grow any back? in 300 years, did they just evolve to not need teeth anymore? did they ever have teeth to begin with? who knows!
i also believe their skin is sticky or has a tacky feel to it since they were able to carry seeds. maybe they have micro-hairs but i like to believe the only species that have hair are the humans.
