✌ What is the easiest aspect of playing this muse?
the easiest part of writing Fitz is his capacity for compassion & loyalty —- they are traits that I empathise with, that I admire, and that I find come most easily to me when writing his motivations & thoughts.
Cooking is hardly Fitz’s forte. It requires a precision of the limbs that he rather lacks at present, but after the betrayal of Jiang, a cake seems like a good thing to attempt to cheer Skye up. Or, it had, before he had gotten the wonky monstrosity out of the oven to inspect, only to find that it has not risen very well, and is very lopsided. Both of these seem simply to illustrate his many issues, the lack of coordination, his frustration with the most menial of tasks. Of course, it only gets worse when he tries to put icing on the bloody thing, and he is just about to throw it in the bin when behold, the lady herself walks in. He suddenly feels like a total fool. Her mother has turned out to be psychotic, her father now has no memory of her. Why would cake, of all things, help?
