I was yearning earlier, and I had this sudden idea.
Athena and Simon as queer-platonic partners...I think it’s a very nice idea. Like, none of their attraction to each other is romantic, it’s sheer platonicity and just love. Athena does have Juniper as a girlfriend, and...maybe Blackquill has Sahdamahdi? I don’t exactly know how to feel about Blackmahdi. Hm. But they have a sort of bond that goes beyond a normal relationship, not even in found family territory? Maybe?
I wanna think they are completely comfortable with cuddling and stuff...Maybe forehead kisses. Definitely forehead kisses.
