First off; making a cis design trans is ok. Making a trans design cis is not
Secondly; making a white design indigenous is ok, making an indigenous design white is not ok
Why is it ok when you replace “white” with Japanese? Fox is taking away much needed representation from people instead of making something new for themselves.
If you took a Navajo inspired character in their traditional and religious regalia and then said they were going to be Japanese only that doesnt change the fact they are wearing Navajo clothes. The race of the design in question is baked into the design itself. It would be the same as seeing a character with dreadlocks and going “oh I like that” and then saying that they’re no longer black they’re white actually.
If Fox saw a random design of say a white unicorn with no specific attachment to any race or culture and wanted to identify with it that would be perfectly fine. What isn’t fine is Fox seeing a design that is explicitly Japanese in Japanese religious regalia and going “this shit is indigenous actually lol”. Like no it isn’t. You can’t divorce something from its origin just cause you want to.
I see a pacific islander design with significant iconography and call it siberian.
I said before the root of the design is drenched in japanese spiritual regalia and tied to ainu people. It cannot be divorced from that fact. The mask, the head gear, the coloration and symbology is rooted in japanese origin with japanese spiritual practices being used.
I never said Fox made the design. I said it would be better if Fox made their own design instead of claiming one based on another culture isn't it's culture. Not shocked by princessfurs lacking basic logic skills.
That other anon has always ignored asks that speak up against Fox, Noelle, and Flutteryfae to name a few. They have a clear bias and a lack of understanding basic human decency. I wouldn't worry too much about their takes and jump to defend someone for being unabashedly racist and frankly vile for enabling the abuse of a much younger bipoc lesbian. There's no allegations here. That is what happened. They smuggly wrote it in the notes of their own transactions. It's a paper trail.
