Good question; I would usually look for: angles connections to personal planets (I would also include Pluto and Uranus in this case), specific midpoints conjuncts angles, vertex conjuncts personal planets (I would include Jupiter here), ruler of the 8th and 5th is majorly aspected, and to a lesser degree mars/venus in angular houses, and 11th house overlay (sun or venus).
