Time for some Downton! Who's your favorite character and why? What's your favorite season? Do you like Thomas? Which death was worse, Sybill or Matthew? Would you prefer to be upstairs or downstairs?
Downton! Definitely one of my favorite shows, even though that last season killed me. Figuratively.
My favorite character is, without a doubt, Violet Crawley. Dame Maggie Smith is absolutely brilliant and the Dowager Countess has the best lines on the entire show.
Iām trying to think but I honestly canāt pick just one season, Iāve enjoyed them all a lot.
Thomas is my second favorite, actually. Heās very interesting and grew a lot as a character throughout the seasons, and weāve seen his true colors, especially during the last one. And I may or may not ship (yes, I do use that term as well) and Jimmy to the moon and back butā¦ details.
As for the deathsā¦ both. Sybillās was terrible, seeing how I wasnāt expecting it at all. She was, and still is, one of my favorite characters and Tomās reactionā¦ it broke my heart. Matthewās deathā¦ I sort of expected something of the sort to happen because I knew the actor was leaving the show. Regardless, with the baby, its timing was still awful.
I think both upstairs and downstairs have their advantages or disadvantages butā¦ I think Iāll go with downstairs.
And with thisā¦ all I want is for the new season to begin.
