«♚» Platinum loved the Goldenrod Game Corner. It was the greatest thing that ever existed, in her opinion. No, the greatness of the Game Corner was simply a fact. Though to be fair, it was hard for Platinum to hold any other sentiment towards it -  especially when she just happened to be carrying a bulging bag of coins in her right hand.Â
Platinum grinned to herself, beginning to whistle a little tune to herself as she made her way over to the Prize Counter. The delight the girl was experiencing was rather obvious to anyone who cared to look her way. The spring in her step, the bright eyes, and the whistling: all were classic signs of happiness. Of course, anyone who happened land their gaze upon her was much more concerned with the enormous bag of coins she held. Eventually, the teen paused before the Prize Counter and dumped the container of her winnings before the employee working at the station. The employee's eyes bugged out, his mouth gaping in astonishment as he took in the sight. Platinum had to suppress a smirk at the man's reaction. It was an action that was rather uncalled for, considering that her winnings were from gambling, something that, regarding victory, heavily depended upon luck. The champion couldn't help it though; she had always loved winning things, and her sheer fortune when it came to gambling left her feeling like she was on cloud nine.
Letting out a cough to regain his composure, the employee on the other side of the counter eyed Platinum suspiciously. 'Here it comes.' Platinum groaned internally. "Young lady, I don't think -" the employee began before Platinum cut him off. "Oh my gosh, you have the dratini eggs! I'm so glad they haven't run out today, I've been saving up for one for a while! Coins by coins, you know. And now I finally have enough! Do you think I could buy one please?"Â
See, when Platinum won at the Game Corner, she really won. As such, she won an insane amount of coins, which were more than enough to raise a couple eyebrows. The girl had quickly become used to the employees there immediately suspecting that she had somehow cheated the machines, and, to counteract it, had developed a little story to either ease their fears or just convince them that they wouldn't be able to disprove her believable claim. Platinum had actually been surprised when it first appeared to work, but she supposed that was Goldenrod's magic at hand. She half-believed that this city had some kind of consciousness and favored her; how else would she be so lucky the moment she stepped foot here? She had terrible luck at Sinnoh's Game Corner.
Suspicions apparently satiated, the employee simply pushed his glasses further up his nose and shot her one last wary glance before retrieving the dratini she asked for. While his back was turned, Platinum stuck out her tongue in a childish manner, though she quickly placed her smiling expression back on when he once again faced her. Platinum handed over the coins casually, taking her new dratini egg into her hands.
"Thanks." Platinum drawled. Spinning on her heel, the girl strode towards the exit of the establishment. She let out a sigh of relief when she finally stepped through the doors, glad to be outside after being indoors for so long. As mentioned previously, Platinum adored the Game Corner, but she had to admit that it did get hot in there, what with all the giant masses of people. Platinum then looked at her Poketch and searched for her clock app, hoping for it to tell her that it wasn't noon yet; she had hoped to catch the earlybird special at this one diner in the city.
