o13. “we’re not even together and this feels like a fucking break up.”
“I-I’m sorry,” he spat out, feeling embarrassment flood his face and turn his cheeks a shade of pink. He was taken back by her swearing; not used to being around such words too often, not since his ex had died at the very least. His grief for his deceased fiance had struck a hole in his heart again, tearing it to shreds. The more he looked at the woman beside him, the more he fell for her, but at the same time - the more guilt that built up inside of him. “I can’t move on. I-I just can’t. I don’t know how to...I don’t think I’ll ever know.” His head dipped; unable to hold eye contact with her for any longer, especially as his bottom lip began to quiver. “Even though she’s no longer here... I still love her. |That’s not fair on you.”
