Rin sat with her back to the door, legs extended into the hallway, shoulders slumped, and sleeves tied off just above the elbows, dangling by her side. The art room she wanted to access had carelessly not been unlocked yet; and while most people would probably find a member of faculty and retrieve a key that way, the very thought made the Artist only sink further towards the ground. It was as if gravity itself endorsed this sheer lazy streak.
What to do? She might not have even gotten out of bed in the morning if she thought this would be an issue. And to make matters worse, the sun shone through the window at just the right angle to irritate her eyes.
Though it seemed, that problem would be easier to solve. Just as a kid from another class walked by, Rin called out to him - “Wait right there!” - and as he stopped, his shadow fell over her.
“Much better. Do you think you could hold that pose for another half an hour or so? I’m wallowing.”
