“Ya!”

Pearl slashed through the air with the stick in her hands. It wasn’t the sturdiest weapon in the world, but she’d used a shell to sharpen on end into a point. She’d loved to see some creature try and mess with her now.

A noise behind her startled her, nearly making her drop the stick. She whirled around and pointed the end at whoever it was, just relieved in knowing it wouldn’t be her Diamond. Imagine what she’d say if she caught Pearl training with a weapon.

She gasped, and dropped the stick at her feet.
