Flag Up. Also had these tiny flags in my cubicle / by my desk the whole time I was teaching, wherever it was, which I think now grounded me regardless of whether I was in the middle of Katipunan, teaching English to kids who knew it as a first language, or in the bowels of Makati or Manila, with kids who were hard(er) to teach but more excited to learn. Things We Keep. This #HelloKitty box is what I used for chalk much of the time I was teaching pre-whiteboard (haha!), and as you can see, I was apparently one to use colored chalk. Realized it was still around because organizing supplies to bring to the Lumad Camp tomorrow. And we let go, yes? #Goodbye2017 #Push2018
