As a longtime listener of Beck's music, his most recent album makes for good easy going sound that's overall pleasant but did nothing to push boundaries in their respective genre the way Beyonce’s most recent album has done. The fact that “Who is Beck” is a trending topic just goes to show how little of an influence Beck’s album has had on the public. Music is meant to inspire, to break boundaries, shatter ideals, and create something new and exciting. (cont.)
Beyonce’s most recent album did that, whilst Beck remained in his comfort zone. Beyonce fans shouldn't be belittle for being angry over an indisputable fact, and that is that a black woman who has maintained relevance since the peak of her career was snubbed for creating a masterpiece so that a white male musician struggling to even make it onto the radio could go home with his hands full.
