"Well, I-I was honestly expecting more people would show up so I could send out a party." The woman wrung her hands and frowned in thought, her eyes moving over the two men in front of her. The one wasn't very threatening in his blue and white silk and the other had something a little too dark behind his emotionless eyes. She wasn't sure she could trust them to do her shopping let alone go save her son. Taking in a deep breath, she glanced towards the door once more before giving a defeated sigh.
"But what choice do I really have? I'm desperate." she said, "My brother-in-law is keeping my son hostage in an estate across the east river. That's too far in bandit territory for me to even attempt to go myself and that's only if I'm thinking about that. There have been increasing reports of monsters as well." The woman couldn't help but frown again, "I need you two to bring him back. I care not how you do it as long as he gets back home alive."
Sam's eyes flicked to the man beside him; a perfect stranger dressed far too brightly for his taste. His gaze lingered for another moment before it moved back to the woman. "..Do I have to guarantee the survival of anyone else?"
The woman blinked, looking a little worried now. "I.. No, I suppose not. Just my son."
"Hm. I'll take the job."
