Luca or Lee!
Full Name: Luca Ames TherouxGender and Sexuality: Cis male and bisexual/gray-romanticPronouns: He/him/hisEthnicity/Species: Caucasian weredog–specifically, a weredhole Birthplace and Birthdate: November 27th, in Paris, FranceGuilty Pleasures: Asking Kel to make complicated drinks; confusing the hell out of Alex; aligning the other guards to side against Renaud in petty little things.Phobias: Nothing so severe, but he does fear Nic’s death, as well as those of the other guards. And Alex. And Kel. Closest to a phobia would be a fear of flying, and he’s incredibly avoidant of unnaturally blue foods. What They Would Be Famous For: It’s only small-time fame in select circles, but a few of his fights against apprentice spirit hunters have earned him a little following? Granted, that’s a fame and a following that only exists so long as he keeps winning against them in the pit. What They Would Get Arrested For: Seriously? Assault, illegal gambling, coercion, extortion, (supernatural) wildlife smuggling, bribing officers of the law, and a few shades of corporate crime.OC You Ship Them With: Alex Humbert, primarily. The rest of the Parisian mafia splinter–Renaud, Val, Edmond, and even possibly Kel–secondarily.OC Most Likely To Murder Them: Gérard, although it would take more planning and stealth than it’s worth, honestly. And considering his business arrangement with Nic, it’s not worth it. So probably either a hunter in the pit or another eldritch horror.Favorite Movie/Book Genre: Noir, oddly.Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: Werewolves as bizarrely misshapen creatures bursting out of a human skin. Talents and/or Powers: Excellent skills behind the wheel of a moving vehicle; dhole-human shapeshifting; pretty damn good at punching the shit out of people; gives great head; can take a punch (or a couple broken ribs) and keep on going. Why Someone Might Love Them: See: his penultimate talent? But really, he’s dead loyal, and things are never boring around him.Why Someone Might Hate Them: That loyalty, depending on the person to whom he’s devoted himself (Nic and the rest of the guards, in the present case). Also his occasionally ill-timed flippant sarcasm, but that’s really cause for irritation more than hatred. How They Change: I’m not sure yet. The Parisian underbelly doesn’t have an overarching plot (yet), so without the faintest idea of what’ll happen, I really can’t say.Why You Love Them: There’s something very, very… comfortable, I guess, about writing a character who can snark when it’s appropriate (and without it being his solely defining personality trait) and still be professional, who built a found family (or a polycule, if you look at it that way) out of strangers and business associates, and whose purpose is the defense of others not just because he’s being paid to do so. I have a deep, abiding adoration for the way that all the disparate pieces of the Parisian underbelly from three different writers fit together, and being able to offer part of that in a way that makes something fun is a wonderful feeling.
EMERALD. For anyone, but especially Landon or Lee
How my muse tells someone they love them without words
Jeebus, let’s dig down into the Very Old Memories bucket. With Kaspar, it was a lot of softening of the usual sharpness and letting them have…. Moments, I guess. Of genuine affection. It’s not without words, but those words didn’t involve explicitly telling Kaspar how much he means?
For Lee, if you get his first name out of him, you’re probably getting close (unless you’re one of his half-siblings, but they don’t count). But I really don’t know. He’s my newest character and I haven’t had reason to consider it.
sinnamon roll, definitely
GOOD
You would get a tattoo of every known bird possible. All of them. Everywhere.
Yes. Yes I would.
