“lady tyrell,” robert greeted with a smile and a hefty laugh. “what a great pleasure to finally meet you. a good thing your father brought you to court.” 

“well, well, well. if it isn’t my great niece.” brynden smiles easily for the young woman, resting a hand on her cheek as he pulls her in for a gentle hug. “you’re mother would be so proud of you. i’m proud of you. not that that matters much in the grand scheme of things.”

“      oh  ,    leia.      ”       bail   has   never   known   grief   nor   fear   as   he   has   today  ;      the   raw   terror   that   his   daughter  ,    too  ,    had   been   lost   alongside   her   mother  ,    their   people.      bail’s   feet   move   of   their   own   accord  ,    carry   him   toward   her  ,    and   then   his   arms   are   around   his   daughter  ,    crushing   her   to   his   chest.      all   is   not   yet   lost.       “      leia  ,      ”       he   says   again  ,    and   it   is   all   he   can   manage.      

“      hello  ,    little   one.      ”       obi - wan   finds   his   former   padawan’s   daughter   out   in   padme’s   garden  ,    and   it   is   with   some   mix   between   anticipation   and   trepidation   that   he   settles   on   the   grass   at   her   side.      there   is   no   real   reason   for   the   flutter   of   anxiety      --      only   the   thought   that  ,    for   all   his   closeness   with   his   twins  ,    leia   would   rather   have   a   younger   master  ,    someone   more   exciting   than   uncle   obi - wan.      he   dismisses   the   thought.      if   that   is   the   case  ,    he   will   be   disappointed  ,    to   be   sure  ,    but   he   can   take   another   padawan.       “      i’d   like   to   talk   with   you   about   something  ,    if   you   have   a   moment   to   spare.      and   no  ,    before   you   ask  ,    you   aren’t   in   any   trouble.      ”
