Hey everyone. My friend has recently launched a new visual-kei database called vk.gy (https://vk.gy/) and I think a lot of you here would find it to be pretty interesting. A few years ago, he started a site dedicated to UNDER CODE PRODUCTION and everything related to Kisaki's sphere of influence, but he's since expanded it to be about smaller and lesser-known groups, as well as gems long forgotten by the Western fan base.
The goal of the site is to be a supplemental source of information and a go-to reference. It's not trying to replace places like Grassthread, vkdb, Monochrome-Heaven, or JaME, but it does aim to provide info that those sites may not have (or in a lot of cases, they have the information but it isn't presented well).
As a user, you can do things like rate albums, create a profile that houses your CD collection (think discogs.com , but catered toward the quirks of the vkei industry), and view info on a ton of different labels, releases, bandmen, and artists (I believe we are up to somewhere around 1,300 or so artist profiles, and it is definitely ever growing). And if you don't feel like signing up yet, just keep us in mind when you're checking to see if you're missing any releases from your favorite artist.
I've been an admin and contributor to this site's predecessor for a number of years now, and have been helping to prep this spinoff to be ready for facing the public, so please let me know if you have any questions. Also, if you're interested in becoming a contributor yourself, please give me a shout.
