Evie x Chan (ChanRi)

Chan and Evie both agree that she is the mother of the group.

Chan is the sun to her moon.

Usually stressing over dumb decisions that the younger boys make.

Always forgetting to sleep at appropriate times.

Evie tends to bring meals and drinks to Chan when he’s working to make sure he is still taking care of himself.

Chan is extremely protective of Evie and vice versa. They just want to protect each other and all the members.

Evie rests her head on his shoulder a lot and tends to sit with him while he’s working to keep him company but also she doesn’t really disturb him she just likes to watch what he does.

They always go to each other when they need someone to vent to.

They can communicate using only body language, facial expressions, and eyes.

They sometimes nap together and when they do the younger boys always tease them about it.

The rare times these two disagree the other members will shout “OH NO MOM AND DAD ARE FIGHTING” and it always breaks any tension the two previously had and they apologize to each other and stop arguing/bickering instantly.

Speaking of, did I mention they bicker like a married couple at times.

They trust each other with their lives.

Since Chan is the only member older than Evie she always plays up any small injury or clumsiness so he will dote on her.

Stray Kids would probably derail into chaos if it weren’t for these two keeping the younger boys in check, but also Evie is part of the problem at times egging them on.

Evie often overworks herself so Chan is always there to check up on her to make sure she isn’t doing too much.

Iconic Moment: Evie got injured and had to sit on the side of the stage during a few performances. During one particular performance he actually didn’t leave her side, dancing next to her and stopping often to dote on her and give her gentle touches on her shoulders and arm to reassure her she is still seen and adored. When it came to her parts he’d stop and stare at her with his face in his hands and it made her push him away playfully with one hand. Stay said that performance was proof of how much Chan actually relies on Evie during performances and vice versa as they seem to keep each other in a better place mentally. Evie recalls that during that particular performance she was having a lot of anxiety and didn’t want anyone to know but she said it felt like he and Hyunjin saw through her mask and were there to help her through it and that if it wasn’t for them she’d probably would’ve asked to skip that performance all together.

Evie x Lee Know (MinRi)

Evie is constantly staring at Lee Know and is often admiring him from afar. When she catches his gaze she always quickly looks away and it causes him to smirk.

Evie tends to silently follow Lee Know around without realizing it. For example one time he got up and walked away while she was spacing out and she instinctively followed after him a few moments later confusing everyone around her.

Evie is obsessed with any sort of skinship from Lee Know but she doesn’t dare ask for it, she just waits for him to initiate it especially when fans can see them.

Lee Know likes to stare Evie in the eyes because he enjoys her flustered and slightly panicked reaction.

On stage Lee Know will often glance at Evie and has even winked at her a few times and everytime she gets butterflies and lets out a quiet gasp.

When Lee Know gets upset with Evie he tends to ignore her and he has stated that he doesn’t mean to, he just wants to withdraw so he doesn’t hurt her because he knows how close they are to each other.

They tend to blow kisses at each other randomly and flirt aggressively.

Evie says anytime Lee Know isn’t around she feels like the energy around her feels cold and empty.

Evie gets extra giggly and giddy around Lee Know.

Lee Know teases her constantly and sometimes it can come off a bit harsh or mean to others but it’s all out of love and Evie knows that.

Evie has stated that Lee Know is one of her favorite people and that life would never be the same without him.

When she’s overwhelmed she goes and sits with his cats who adore her and she jokes that she is their mom.

She used to cling to him constantly but after some rumors that they were dating she stopped almost all public skinship with him and other members unless they initiate it and she seems a lot more stressed/depressed now because of it.

He calls her his demon.

She always wants to be with him and is like a lost puppy around him.

Evie tends to fight anyone who is mean to him.

Iconic Moment: During a vLive Lee Know and Evie got into an argument and it was cut short when he had pinned her to a wall. Staff had rushed into the room to turn the stream off after they noticed the two’s simple bickering seemed to turn into a full blown argument and when they saw him pull her up they knew they needed to end the stream.

“Oh Minho, quit whining like a little bitch dude, it wasn't that damn serious.” Evelyn says while rolling her eyes at him.

Minho stands up and grabs her arms pulling her with him and he pins her to the wall raising an eyebrow at her, “What the hell did you just say to me Nari?” he asks coldly.

Evelyn stares at him blankly and smirks. “You’re being a wee cunt mate.” she spits with venom and that’s when staff was able to end the live stream, or so they thought. 

One of the staff members just sighed and told them to fix their problems or else they’d have to trade rooms and then walked away. Lee Know and Evie didn’t break eye contact as the staff spoke to them.

“Nari, why are you acting so defensive? These were all just gentle jokes. Is there something you aren’t saying?”

Evie lets out a flustered sigh when she realizes how close they are. “I’m sorry.” she says truthfully.

“That’s what I fucking thought. Behave. Do you understand me? We won’t be having something like this happening again, yeah?”

“Yes Minho, I’m sorry for being an ass.” she says, staring deeply at him and he steps away from her and she just falls to the floor.

When Lee Know got back to the phone he noticed the live was still going and just said “Shit.” as it ended. That’s when their dating rumors started and JYP quickly shut that down after confirming with the idols that they were in fact not in a relationship. Since then Evie watches her tongue on lives and refuses to speak out line.

Evie x Changbin (NaBin)

One of Evie’s first videos posted on instagram is actually of them working out.

They tend to work out together a lot hence them being gym buddies.

Changbin is why Evie started boxing after he encouraged her to do it.

They tend to tease each other a lot.

Changbin says he has the most fun working out when he is with Evie.

They eat a lot of food together.

Luna seems to like Changbin more than Evie at times.

Changbin and Evie share playlists with each other a lot.

Changbin is actually the member Evie clings to the least.

Evie and Changbin often play fight.

Changbin lets Evie win in arm wrestling because he doesn’t like seeing her pout when he beats her.

Changbin and Evie have accidentally kissed on the mouth before and it was awkward for like a month after that.

Changbin, although younger than Evie, sees her like a little sister more than a big sister.

They have rap battles randomly at times.

Changbin and Evie radiate the same vibe “dark but is actually soft”

Evie hates doing aegyo but will do it if it’s with/for with Changbin.

Iconic Moment: During one of the performances of “Maniac” Evie had started to feel faint and Changbin kept checking on her throughout, touching her arm to make sure she wouldn’t fall and even handing her his water bottle during the performance, she refused at first but the younger boy insisted again and she quickly took a sip while still dancing. She ended up getting even more light headed and Changbin literally dragged her off stage to make sure she didn’t faint and hurt herself.

Evie x Hyunjin (HyunRi)

They both agree that meeting each other felt like it was meant to happen and that their lives have thrived more since meeting.

The amount of love these two show each other and have for each other is utterly insane.

It doesn’t matter what Evie is feeling Hyunjin already knows, and vice versa.

“I want to be alone… no no like alone but only with you.” ~Evie like twice a day to Hyunjin.

Hyunjin kisses Evie on the top of her head/her forehead and on her cheeks and says that’s his favorite way to show love to her.

When Evie is overly stressed in public situations Hyunjin will grab her hand and give it a squeeze or will hug her and sort of cover her from others.

They are lowkey (highkey) obsessed with each other and more often than not spend most of their free time together.

Other than Lee Know, Hyunjin is the other member in SKZ that can make Evie flustered with extreme ease.

Hyunjin doesn’t like to see her cry and will often wipe her tears away gently and listen to anything she needs to say.

Everything they do together strengthens their friendship and their bond and they both agree that their lives would be extremely different had they not met before.

Hyunjin initiates skinship the most out of the members with Evie knowing she doesn’t like initiating skinship after the last scandals she had.

Hyunjin likes to put his hand on her thigh and squeeze it.

Evie likes to play with his hair.

Often when Evie plays games Hyunjin will come in and watch her and lay his head on her shoulder while she plays.

Evie and Hyunjin go on walks often.

Hyunjin always gets shy if Evie initiates any sort of flirting or skinship with him first.

Iconic Moment: Their hiatuses in 2021 had overlapped with one another and one day during their hiatus Hyunjin had gone into Evie’s room while she was streaming while gaming and just sat with her and kept her company. The conversation they had warmed Stays heart and still to this day will randomly go viral.

“Nari?” Hyunjin said in his usual super kind and gentle tone when he speaks to Evie.

“Yes Jinnie?” She glanced at him while still gaming.

Sheepishly he asked, “Why do you like me so much?” 

Evie pauses her game and turns to him. “What do you mean?” She asked in a confused tone.

He simply shrugged and just asked again. “Why do you like me so much?”

She smiled at him and gently hugged him before responding. “I like you so much because you're Hyunjinnie. Since day one you’ve always just sorta understood me. You’ve cared for me, doted over me, loved me. You’ve always been a goodness in my life that I’ve been missing. Hyunjinnie, you’re one of my favorite people. Your soul is so pure and I’m glad that I can share a part of my world with yours.”

Hyunjin’s eyes widened and he started to get flustered and he looked down. “Really?” his voice cracked.

“Of course. You’re one of my best friends! I love you Hyunjinnie! WE love you!” she said as she pointed to the live stream. “You’re such a strong person and you inspire me a lot to be a better dancer. I adore you Hyunjinnie and I always will, okay?”

“I adore you too Nari!”

They hugged and then she went back to her game. Stay kept commenting on how happy Hyunjin seemed after the words Evie had said to him. Stay also asked if he would show up more during his hiatus but he never joined Evie on any of the live streams she did during their hiatuses.

Han will always join Evie when she’s coloring because the peaceful energy that she radiates while coloring helps him relax.

They usually watch horror movies together.

They say “jinx” whenever they say the same thing at the same time.

Crackhead energy.

They both grew close very quickly due to both of them having similar likes and similar hobbies.

They can’t sit in silence because they will both just start laughing if it’s too quiet.

They shop online together a lot.

Evie likes to spoil Han.

Evie babies Han the most right behind how much she babies Jeongin of course.

They don’t do a lot of skinship because they’d rather just spend time together than physically touching one another.

They like to be goofy together and aren’t allowed to be sat next to each other because of it

They bicker like true siblings.

Much like with Chan, Evie likes to watch him produce songs when he does.

Evie’s favorite form of physical contact with Han is to squish his cheeks or boop his nose and Han kind of hates it lol

Iconic Moment: They posted pictures of them in their matching pajamas and Evie captioned it as “Twinsies” and ever since, it doesn’t matter what they wear or what they do if they look at all similar Stay will jokingly say that they are twining. During Stay Selca day a lot of Stay will take pictures with their friends in matching outfits and caption it “twinsies” as well to honor the iconic post.

Evie always cringes when Felix does his ASMR but she always watches everything he posts or does because she loves him so much.

One of her best friends in the entire world.

When they cuddle she likes to lay her head on his chest and listen to his heart beat while he plays with her hair and she’ll instantly pass out when that happens regardless of if she’s tired or not. Felix does in fact use this tactic to get her to sleep since she doesn’t sleep like she should.

Constantly wanting each other's attention even if they have someone else’s attention.

They are actually really chaotic together but also insanely iconic and loveable no one complains about it (expect for poor Chan)

Iconic Moment: Evie posted on instagram that she hit masters in support and Felix shared it and told her to touch grass. She replied “maybe if you touched some ass you’d be better at games lil bro.” and the clapback went viral. Evie later on her IG story told Stay that these sort of interactions are normal and that she wasn’t being mean to him worried they’d see her savage response as bullying.

Evie is extremely overprotective of Seungmin.

Seungmin enjoys Evie’s company because she is usually really calm and quiet around him so they can usually just sit in silence and be content.

Seungmin doesn’t put up with Evie’s bullshit and vice versa.

Roasting the ever living fuck out of each other constantly.

Evie unironically will say “your mom” in response to Seungmin.

When Seungmin sings, Evie gets captivated and says she’s in love with his voice. She has literally said “If I could marry a singing voice it’d be Seungminnie’s.”

They seem like they hate each other but really they are just normally quiet around each other, they bring out each other’s calm collective energy.

Always have lowkey judgmental faces.

Always talking mad shit to one another. Evie will literally say “What’s (the) tea?” to him.

Evie always makes Seungmin laugh and smile because she said it’s one of the main highlights of her day to see him happy.

An unlikely duo but surprisingly they mesh well together.

The member Evie is least likely to steal clothes from.

Evie and Seungmin never really bicker.

Seungmin really enjoys pushing Evie’s buttons but she never gives him the reaction he’s looking for.

They are probably reading books together somewhere.

Evie sometimes talks too fast for Seungmin to keep up so he says “Huh?” to her a lot and she always goes “HuH?!” back before she repeats herself.

Iconic Moment: Seungmin showed the massive soft spot he has for Evie during a behind the scenes video. Evie had slipped and fallen and hurt ankle but had to pretend she didn’t get hurt to finish shooting for that day as she didn’t want to delay anything due to her own clumsiness. Seungmin was the first one to notice the older girl in pain and he kept checking up on her asking her if she was sure she wasn’t hurt. Evie never lies to Seungmin as he is really good at reading her body language and was honest with him.

“I just hurt my ankle a bit, I think I may have twisted it or sprained it but I’ll be okay we just need to finish this right? Then I can rest.” 

“No, I'd like you to rest now, hyung.” he urged, helping her to a chair. 

“Seungmin. You’re a pain in my ass bud.”

“Someone needs to keep you in check.” Seungmin then told staff about her injury and she did in fact sprain it.

Nothing was delayed by her injury so they were confused as to why they didn’t just be honest with them but they didn’t question it. Seungmin checked on her often and even gave her a hug, something that he doesn’t typically do with Evie when cameras are around. When staff asked why Seungmin was so concerned when Evie had already mentioned she was okay to which he answered.

“Nari hyung can be very reckless and would rather avoid conflict than take care of herself. Sometimes we have to remind her that she is still human and keep her in line. I love her and I don’t want to see her in any pain.”

Jeongin vents/rants to Evie often and trusts her a lot.

Jeongin likes to try and piss Evie off because her swearing is funny to him.

They don’t spend a lot of time together but the time they do share together is always worth it.

When they go out to eat they always eat way too much food.

Jeongin likes to make Evie laugh and will go out of his way to make sure she laughs or smiles at least once a day because of him.

He is also protective of her just as she is of him.

They really enjoy making fun of JYP together.

Iconic Moment: There is an entire compilation on Youtube called “Evie Mothering Jeongin for 30 Minutes and 30 seconds.” and the entire thing is moments where Evie is just being utterly soft for Jeongin and she’s taking really good care of him. One moment in particular went viral for a while.

Evie had woken Jeongin up and he didn’t want to wake up yet so he sorta curled into her and told him if he at least sat up she’d get him so breakfast in bed and that boy damn near shot up out of that bed and she just chuckles and shakes her head and she kisses him on his head before she heads to go make breakfast for the boys.

While she was walking away Evie could hear Jeongin say “What? Noona cooks the best breakfast!” causing her to shake her again and laugh.

November, 2019

Evie wakes up to her alarm at three in the morning and she sighs heavily. She stretches and dismisses her alarm in the same swift motion and then she gets up to start her day. She first heads to her kitchen, petting her dogs as she passes by them. She rubs the back of her head awkwardly as she grabs one of her premade breakfast meals out of the freezer. It’s a homemade ham, bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that she made the night before, she pops it in the microwave. While it heats up she grabs a container of peach yogurt and some white chocolate granola to put inside it. She snacks on the yogurt while going over the plan for the day in her head. She needs to shower, walk her dogs, talk to her management, then go about her normal training. It’s going to be a very long day…

She’s brought back to reality when she hears her microwave beep, she grabs her food and goes and sits on her couch tucking her legs under her as she does. She rubs her temples before she eats her food kind of quickly and then she gathers herself to go shower, playing music as she does. During her shower she makes sure to wash her face and brush her teeth. She wraps herself in her robe before she walks back to her room and quickly heads to her closet. She grabs a pair of black leggings and a white cami. After she gets her clothes on she grabs her favorite oversized hoodie that is near her bag and slips on her sneakers. 

“Luna, Aurora, it’s time for your walk before I go to training, my loves.” Evie calls to her dogs and they instantly run to her side with their leashes in their mouths.

Evie smiles down at them and clips their leashes to their collars and puts on their booties before they head out, she also slips on her face mask. Evie ends up walking her dogs for about twenty minutes, replaying bits of last night in her mind. She feels like a burden and lets out a stressed sigh before letting her dogs back into her apartment and hanging their leashes back up on the wall.

“You guys behave now, ya? I don’t want a single message from my roommate that you guys didn’t listen. It’ll be a longer day today so I won’t be able to see ya til tonight.” Evie says to her two dogs before kissing them both on their heads.

She grabs her bag from her room before rushing out the door, she’s late now because she lost track of time during the walk. She quickly pulls her baseball cap onto her head and slips her face mask back on before bolting out the door to catch her ride. Her manager told her they had to talk to her and those words haunted her the entire time she tried sleeping. What could they need from her? Surely she isn’t in any trouble right?

Yesterday’s training was really hard for Evie and she’s remembering every mistake she made and she wonders if it was because of that. Maybe they are cutting me from the family? Maybe I’ll never debut after all. She thought to herself tears threatening to form and she quickly stops that line of thinking and pops her earbuds in and listens to her music to calm her mind. She laid her head on the window and zones out as her mind races as to what management could want from her.

She shakes her head and comes back to reality again when she notices her phone is going off. It’s her brother and she instantly answers.

Evie is all smiles as she answers the facetime call. “Huddy! Hi! How’d you know I was up?” 

“I didn’t, I have some amazing news for you though and that’s why I called you at this hour.” Hudson, Evie’s older brother, is equally as smiley as she is, if not more.

“Well, out with it!”

“You’re going to be an Auntie!” Hudson nearly shouts as he waves a positive pregnancy test at the camera.

“I’m glad!” Evie says with a beaming smile. “Unfortunately I’ve got to go, we made it to the building.” 

“Awe, well, call me when you can ya?” Hudson says with a slight frown. “You’ve been extra busy the past few days.”

“Yes of course I’ll call ya. Don’t forget to eat brekky and to take care of yourself. I’ve got things to tell you later. I love ya Huds.”

“I love you too, Evs.” he replies before hanging up.

Talking to her brother seemed to bring up Evie’s mood a lot and she thanks her driver before she heads to the practice room. Blinking a lot to get her eyes used to the bright lights of the room. By now it is nearly  five in the morning, usually she’d be here by now or just leaving. Evie basically lives in the practice rooms not because they make her but because she doesn’t deem herself worthy of being an idol.

“Evelyn?” says an oddly familiar voice, at first she can’t put her finger on who it is. Then her eyes instantly widen when she looks up and sees who it is. She nearly drops her bag to the floor as she bows her head very low.

“Yes sir? Was it you that needed to speak to me?” Evie asks in a shaky voice in English before she mentally scolds herself and repeats it in Korean.

“I have some really really good news for you. Follow me.” JYP says before leading her out of the training room she’s been calling home for the past year.

“Don’t you dare think I haven’t noticed how hard you work yourself Nari.” he says, stopping suddenly. Evie turns and looks at him tilting her head not wanting to interrupt him if he wants to speak again. 

“I know how hard you took your elimination from the show, and I do apologize. I just hope you understand I did that so you could grow even more as an artist and find yourself more. I’ve been monitoring you closely since you’ve been eliminated and I don’t think you fit with the other girls you’ve been training with. You belong with them.” he says to her before nodding to a door. Evie starts to tremble in place, her eyes widening again.

“Skz is in there?” she asked quietly, missing her boys.

“Yes, only Chan knows you’re coming. Enter when you’re ready, you’re going to be extremely busy from this moment on. I hope you enjoy being back with the group, that is your home Nari.” with that JYP turns and walks away leaving Evie standing there with her jaw on the floor.

She takes many deep breaths trying to calm her nerves. She hasn’t seen these boys since the day she was eliminated from the show. These were her best friends in the entire industry, her literal motivation to work so hard, to be better. Right there, all she has to do is open the door. Her hands are trembling, what if they are mad at her for something? Woojin just left the group not too long ago, so what if people begin to think they added her to replace him? There’s STAYs who have been begging for Evie to debut with SKZ even now so they won’t, but what if others do? Not everyone is going to know her history with SKZ. Evie just open the door and stop procrastinating. 

Evie lays her head against the door and can hear the quiet sounds of talking of the boys who she assumes had just woken up not long ago. She stays like that for a few moments until she hears footsteps coming toward the door and she quickly and quietly moves away from the door fearing it’ll open and they will see her creeping on them like that. Holding her breath she just opens the door, knowing if she doesn’t do it now she never will. She wanted to make sure that the door opened because of her and not one of the boys needed to go to the bathroom or something and exposed her waiting to enter.

When the door opens all the chattering in the room dies, she slowly closes the door behind her staring at the floor, afraid of their reactions. She nervously scratches at her arm and sort of shrinks. The silence is oh so loud.

She quietly says, “Hi…” 

No one says anything, the boys just stare at her in disbelief as if they are seeing a ghost. She finally looks around to see the shocked looks on everyone’s faces and Hyunjin is crying, she wants to hug them all to catch up with them but she can’t find it in her to move. She stares at Minho and her heart drops, he looks pissed at her. Her gaze then goes to Felix who looks like he’s ready to pounce on her and tackle her in a hug. Then she sees Jeongin who is staring blankly at her as if he doesn’t believe that she’s truly there. Chan, who knew she was coming, is smiling softly and warmly, the love that always radiates off him when she’s near him is something she never forgot. Changbin is staring at her shocked to see her, his jaw hanging open. Seungmin is just staring at her, his facial expressions are hard for her to read. Finally she looks at Han who is smiling widely. 

She takes one step forward before falling to the floor and she just bursts into tears, she’s having such a rough time believing any of this is real. Quickly Chan, Felix, Han, and Hyunjin rush up to her and hug her in a group hug to comfort Evie. She’s crying really hard and sorta pushes everyone away after a few moments and runs out of the room to go catch her breath, she suddenly feels really anxious. She at first didn’t have a plan, she wanted to just run home and pretend this awkward reunion never happened but she decided to just head to the bathroom instead knowing that’d be the wiser decision.

She sprints to the bathroom and ends up throwing up her breakfast. During this whole thing her phone was being blown up, she doesn’t know who could be texting her this much at this time but she just turns it to silent and washes her face and slaps her cheeks to hype herself up again. She feels really stupid for leaving them like that, for breaking down in front of them, for throwing up with anxiety. She sighs at herself and takes her phone out of her pocket and sees she’s been added to a group chat, that’s why her phone was being blown up, none of the phone numbers are saved, she couldn’t be bothered to actually read any of the messages just blankly stares at her phone for a few moments before she finally heads back to the room that she sprinted from.

She knocks on the door gently this time before entering, the chattering once again stopping when she enters the room. She feels as though all the connections she had with these boys have disappeared by the silence. She sighs and just grabs her bag and puts her phone in it before putting it in the corner of the room. When she gets back to the center of the room it’s still silent.

“Can someone please say something…?” Evie asks as she anxiously runs a hand through her hair.

“Evelyn? Is that really you?” Hyunjin was the first to say anything.

She nods before speaking. “Yes, hello. I missed you guys…” tears threaten to fall again.

“Why are you here?” Minho asks a bit coldly and Evie visibly shrinks.

Evie shrugs and equally as coldly replies. “Ask your damn leader.”

Felix comes up to Evelyn and just pulls her into a tight hug and she instantly relaxes and mumbles an apology to Minho and Chan for getting snippy as she hugs back her fellow Aussie. He gently rubs her back and kisses her on her cheeks.

“We missed you so much Evs.” Felix says to her excitedly.

“Doesn’t feel like it…” Evelyn pouts and reluctantly pulls away from the hug staring at Minho again.

“Don’t mind him, Bug.” Chan says from behind Felix. “He really missed you, he was torn up after you had to leave. I think he’s in shock.”

“Okay?” Evie is clearly confused. “Doesn’t mean he has to be cold to me like we are strangers now. It’s only been a year…”

She moves around Felix and hugs each member excluding Minho who is just glaring daggers at her.

“Oi!” Evie shouts at Minho to get his attention. “Do you want a hug, Minnie?”

He stands up and just opens his arms and she borderline runs into his arm catching him off guard and they fall to the floor laughing and just cuddle one another, the cold front instantly leaving when he finally got her in his arms. Minho was always one of the members Evie was close to. After they hug for a short while she goes back to clinging to Hyunjin, another one of the boys she’s extremely close to. Instinctively he kisses her head and Chan ushers the group to gather around, Evie sits between Minho and Hyunjin.

“You guys are probably curious as to why Evelyn is back with us in this room. Well I have got some news for you all.” Chan starts the announcement and Evie grabs one hand of each of the boys around her feeling nervous for some reason, fearing they would reject Chan’s words. 

“I have been having a lot of serious conversations recently after everything that has been happening. I voiced how we were upset with the fact that JYP cut Evelyn from the team. After telling him about how I don’t feel like the team is truly ‘Stray Kids’ without Evelyn he told me that he has been monitoring her training process since the day she left us and that if we wanted…” Chan pauses for a moment, probably for dramatic effect before speaking again. “She could join Stray Kids during our next comeback!”

Evie thought he was snooty and uptight. She thought that he was extremely cruel due to how he originally treated her. She didn’t understand why he disliked her so much but two can play that game. She always ignored him when she was around Ateez to avoid any drama she always just minded her own business.

When they first actually talked Jongho realized he got her all wrong and he felt bad but he still didn’t like her.

They were harsh, cold, and cruel toward one another for years.

In 2023 Chan and Hongjoong made them sit down and talk it out, once they did they realized they actually liked each other.

They still aren’t close but they do tolerate each other a lot easier now.

January 14th, 2024

Evie has been acting really strange recently, and the boys have all taken notice. Every time they’ve asked her what’s bothering her she just tells her that she’s fine and that they are being over dramatic and over analyzing her behavior. She’s been trying to mask how she’s been feeling but it’s gotten to a point where she can’t keep doing that anymore. One more question and she feels like she is about to explode. She feels overly stressed and doesn’t know how to express it, she tried doing her normal distractions but they aren’t helping. Comments are laying heavy on the idol's mind as she paces the length of the room and rubs her arms.

Hyunjin finally breaks a silence that no one even realized was there. “My love, what’s wrong?”

Evie lifts up her hand dismissively. “Don’t.” She barks in a harsh tone.

“Evie, don’t lash out at Hyunjin.” Felix says gently, grabbing her hand to get her attention. “We’ve all noticed you’ve been bothered. You can talk to us about anything, you know this. We love you, we don’t like seeing you suffer in silence like this, Bear.”

“It’s seriously nothing.” Evie says, pulling her hand away from Felix and walking away.

The two boys shake their heads at one another before following Evie, they are determined to get the truth out of her and will not stop until they get answers. She’s been acting weird for over a month, so something is clearly wrong. Evie can hear the boys quickly follow behind her and she rolls her eyes. She knows these two won’t stop until they get some sort of answer from her, but she doesn’t know how to talk about this. She hasn’t known how to talk about it, that's why she hasn’t.

“Oi! Ari! Wait up!” Felix says from behind her and she stops and turns to face him with her arms crossed over her chest.

“What do you guys want? Can’t you just leave me alone? I clearly have nothing to say to you.”

“No. We can’t leave you alone.” Hyunjin says as he stares at Evie.

“You may not have something to say but you definitely have something on your mind, so why don’t we just sit down and talk about it.” Felix pipes in carefully.

“Yeah, we can all cook or order food and eat and just figure this out together.” Hyunjin says softly brushing her hair out of her face as he steps toward her. “I hate seeing you so tense and worked up like this Vi.”

Evie sighs, there’s no way of getting out of it this time. “Fine. Let’s eat while we talk about this, I don’t think I can do this without motivation.”

“Thank you.” The boys say in unison before they all decide what to order for food.

While they wait for food to arrive Evie and the two boys sit down and she rehearses what she wants to say in her head a few times, each time she is unhappy with it. How does she talk about something that happened like six years ago? Something that she's avoided like the plague since her debut with Stray Kids. It’s just awkward to even think about anymore. She should’ve just sucked it up and gotten over it but she never got closure so it all still hurts every time it’s brought up. With the new resurgence as well it is just too much. Evie must’ve gotten lost in her thoughts because the next thing she knows Felix and Hyunjin are walking up to her with the food they ordered in their hands.

“Alright Evs, foods here.” Felix beams as they sit on either side of her and they sort out who’s food is whose.

“Yeah…” Evie says with a forced smile. She takes a few bites before she picks at it trying to muster the courage to talk about it.

Evie shakes her head and slaps her cheeks to hype herself up. “This is hard to talk about.” She shrugs as she stares at her food, picking at it with her chopsticks again.

“We aren’t going anywhere Vi, take your time.” Hyunjin reassures placing a hand on her leg and squeezing it slightly as he does.

“Yeah, I know. You’ve been pestering me all day, it’s giving me a fucking migraine.” Evie says rubbing her temples before taking another bite of food.

After swallowing her bite she sighs, “I guess I should just rip it off like a bandaid huh?”

“If that’s how you want to do it mate.” Felix replies, shrugging.

“This is fucking weird to talk about it’s been so long…”

“What is it about?” Hyunjin tilts his head as he asks.

Bluntly Evie says, “Itzy.”

“That’s what’s been bothering you? The Itzy comments?” Felix seems confused.

“Yes and no. It’s more what the girls did to me and how they treated me. I’m supposed to just be happy around them and not hurt. I have yet to get a fucking apology for how awful they were to me.”

Hyunjin’s eyes widen as he sees Evie make a tight fist, clearly getting overly emotional. “What’d they do to you my love?”

Evie shakes her head and her hands trying to process everything. Is she really talking about this? “I need a minute… Please…” her voice cracks as angry tears threaten to fall. The boys just nod and let her take her time.

“You have to remember I haven’t even talked about this in therapy yet… So this is me finally processing it after all those years okay…” Evie says before taking big bites of her food to try and forget the conversation at hand.

“That’s why it’s bothering you so much.” Felix observes and the girl just nods her head as she finishes the big bite she just took.

“Yeah…” Evie sighs once more before speaking again. “As you guys know after I was cut from the show and from the group in 2018 I trained with Itzy for a while. And to say I was an outcast is an understatement. Those girls treated me like I was fucking dirt. Do you know how that feels? The group of people who you are supposed to live with and spend the majority of your time with hating your fucking existence. That hurts so much more than anyone could possibly know.”

Evie has to stop speaking as tears fall from her eyes and she starts to shake, emotions she’s never truly processed hitting her like a stab right in her heart. She feels so small, so broken. She wants to scream and punch things but she knows that won’t fix anything. The two boys sit in stunned silence staring at the crumbling female before them. They can tell she’s not done talking but they just do their best to comfort her, they don’t add anything worried they’d make it worse. Hyunjin rubs your leg gently as Felix lays her head on his chest near his heart and he steadies his heartbeat and breathing for her to listen to as he knows that’s something that brings her a lot of comfort. After a few moments she clears her throat and continues to talk.

“It started with one but then they all sorta just gained up on me. It was like they said ‘bully the reject she can handle it.’ I was like their verbal punching bag. What hurt the most though was when they made fun of my speaking, as if I can control having an accent or having ‘weird’ Korean… I was fluent in Korean at the time too so I don’t understand what their issue was with me. I didn’t do anything to those girls. It was like they were mad that I almost debuted before them or something. There’s no way PD-nim didn’t see the way they treated me, they didn’t fucking hide the fact they didn’t like me. So yeah, when they debuted I did feel some sort of way but guess what I got over it. I trained with the NMIXX girls until it was time for me to come back to my home, you guys, and when I was with them it was heavenly. They treated me with so much love and respect, maybe because I was the oldest or maybe it’s because they weren’t in a hateful mood I don't know.”

Evie takes a deep breath realizing she was talking really fast, at a slower pace she continues. “I know you can’t get along with everyone and I understand and accept that. However, to treat someone with so much hate and disrespect feels uncalled for. I never once did anything to instigate anything, and to think. Chaeryoung asked me to do a dance with her on tiktok. NO. Leave me alone. Like, haven’t you done enough when you were doing mean girl behavior with your other members toward an already beaten down trainee?”

When Evie finally looks up she notices that Lee Know was leaning on the door frame, he seemed to have been listening from afar. She waves him over and he comes and sits with them. Everyone is silent for a few moments as Evie processes everything.

“I’m not an anti. I just don’t want to show support toward people who were hateful toward me, maybe that had a bad couple of weeks/months. That doesn’t mean take it out on me. Unless maybe they didn’t want me on the team and at that point just be honest and don’t be mean about it? I don’t know. Just the way they went about it and then no one apologizing even after years just seems wild to me.” Evie shrugs. “I don’t know how to talk about this with the public because I don’t want Itzy to be hated, I just want an apology so I can just get that awful chapter closed and maybe I can heal.”

“I understand. If you want we can maybe try and help you talk about it? To put the rumors to rest and ease your mind a bit.” Lee Know suggests.

“That’d be nice…”

“Hey, Evie.” Hyunjin says. “We love you. I’m sorry they treated you like that, that’s not fair to you. I think you should report it if it’s still affecting you after so long, I mean for an entire month you barely slept and have been acting really strange because of the internet calling you an anti again.”

“I’m not gonna do that.” Evie says fast. “It’s fine. I’m fine really. It just gets exhausting seeing people saying I’m an anti all because they debuted before me and without me. So what if I didn’t make the original line up, I’m clearly much happier where I am now so what’s the big deal?”

The boys shrug and Felix speaks this time. “I think people just want a reason to hate you mate. The fact they can’t find one bugs ‘em so they bring this up every six to eight months to get a reaction outta ya.”

“Maybe but it’s heartbreaking because even some of our stays think I’m bitter. I am not bitter, just broken-hearted. Is that the same? I don’t think so.”

Lee Know sighs. “I don’t get why everyone has to try and start something with you. You’re just trying to live your life. Let’s make a post on your Instagram and pin it yeah? We can also have an official statement released too. Let’s just say you aren’t an anti, because you said you aren’t, and we can either come up with some bullshit excuse or be straight up honest and just say we just don’t get along and that’s okay we are human. Or something. Up to you of course. It’s your situation after all.”

Evie scratches at her arm before she grabs her phone. She puts the camera against her leg to have a solid black background before writing her statement first in English then in Korean on two different slides. She puts them in the only highlight that is on her page labeled “itzy.” The statement reads as follows:

Hello everyone, this is Evelyn. You may know me better as Evie from the KPop group Stray Kids. This post is going to be a bit different from anything I’ve ever done before. This is my official statement about all the rumors and allegations that I am an Itzy anti. I would like to say I am NOT an Itzy anti. I’ve never been an Itzy anti. The girls and I just didn’t get along in our trainee days, maybe now that we are older we could try for a friendship but I am by no means an anti. I actually enjoy some of their music. I just avoided them due to conflicted feelings I felt about everything that happened. Although we didn’t get along, I will always wish the best for them and wish them nothing but good luck in any future endeavors they have. Wardrobe Malfunction

She was very professional about it and held onto her chest with one hand as she danced. However, Hyunjin, once he noticed, quickly put his jacket on her to cover her and she quickly buttoned it between dance moves so she could go back to focusing on giving the best performance she possibly could. Although the public was a bit disappointed as this was Evie’s first ever wardrobe malfunction, which happened at something that Evie was looking forward to, they also were pleasantly surprised by how professional and fast acting they were to fix something like that. Evie said she had asked the stylist for a jacket specifically because she didn’t trust the top but they refused and so Evie felt like the stylist was sabotaging her and sabotaging the performance to stir drama. Since then Evie has refused to wear any outfits from that specific stylist and has said that she truly doesn’t care for that stylist's opinion anymore and doesn’t care if she gets fired. Skz also refuse to be styled by that particular stylist and it's rumored that she did in fact get fired after this instance as it wasn't the first time she has willingly dressed Evie semi scandalously. After this Evie was given a lot more control of her outfits.
