to clarify, he’s wearing a dress w/a v high slit on the side and a very long train (and some other accessories). 

this serves two purposes: 1) to discourage the wearer from going outside because. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) 2) to make it a bit more difficult to move around, because of the train. (you’d pick it up when you dance, but if you ran away, you’d have to find some way to cut it off or hold it up the whole time. it’s rly something when you’re strutting around though)

i kind of think that pearlcatchers tend to have the highest rate of being forced into servitude because of their pearls? but you can take away a pearlcatcher’s pearl and they’ll freak the fuck out. if you can get it. big if.
