So Iâm going to Chicago in the fall with the Lover and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of things to do/see or places to stay?
for the kissing prompt, how about reylo with 23? :)
23. kissingâŚin relief.
Thank you @punkeraa ! <3 (may not be completely what you were expecting, but hope you enjoy!)
kissing prompts |Â wedding/engagement prompts (send me things!)
Iâm combining these with the prompts for @reylo-week-2018 â, so this is for Day 4: Mythology, and somehow ended up as a witch/werewolf au (and, miraculously, posted on day 4!)
[My #reyloweek: Day 1: Colors | Day 2: Dark | Day 3: Touch]
Words: 1.3kRating: T (tw blood/injury)
âNo, no, no!â Rey cries frantically as she rushes across the corpse-strewn battlefield to Benâs side. Heâs still in his wolf form, and his chest rises and falls rapidly with his short, gasping breaths. She collapses to her knees, paying no attention to the rocky, blood-soaked ground. She buries her hands in Benâs fur, trying to find his wound. There are so many scattered across his body. Blood mats his pelt together and sticks to her hands, and her vision blurs with unbidden tears. She wipes them angrily on her arm. She doesnât have time for that. Snoke may be gone, they destroyed him and his guards together, but Ben, Ben -
She finds the source of so much of the blood, a large gash from his spine to his shoulder, where the guard whoâd hand him by the neck slashed him as he fell to Reyâs thrown knife. Itâs too long for her to cover, though she tries, but blood still drenches his fur. She canât see the ragged edges of the wound, but she can feel them, and itâs enough to tell her that itâs deep, too deep. She curses herself for not saving him sooner, for not killing the man he had done this before he could ever lay a finger on him.
She reaches into herself, trying to find any scrap of magic left that she hadnât used in the battle. Thereâs nothing, everything poured out in one final attack when Snoke was distracted by Benâs lunge for his throat. The tears come heavily now, dripping down her face and onto Ben, disappearing into his dark fur. She presses her hands into his side and tries to force the emptiness inside her where her magic was into him.
Nothing works. His breathing only gets shallower, underlain with an uncomfortably wet sound. The way his muzzle is pinched, she knows each breath hurts him.
(cont. under cut)
âBen, please,â she begs. âYou canât leave me now.â Tears choke her words. âYou promised. You canât leave me alone.â
She wants to scream and yell and force the universe to heal him. This isnât fair; this was meant to be the start of their life together. Theyâd kill Snoke, free Ben, and then -
She sobs. Thereâs no one else here, no one else to help them. Snoke had kept his pack isolated from the world. And in his state, torn open and losing blood faster than she can stop it, Ben canât survive her dragging him to safety, let alone the journey to anyone who could help. She feels completely powerless watching him, unable to do anything besides watch him slip away.
She smoothes her hand over Benâs head, over the scar sheâd given him, and even in his condition he turns his head into her touch. He whimpers with the motion though, and she bites her lip until she tastes blood.
âIâll do anything,â she swears, and she means it. There is no sacrifice she wouldnât make to have her love safe and whole.
His eyes fall closed and his breathing stops completely. âNo!â she screams. She falls over him, sobs being ripped out of her. âNo.â The word comes out as a long, drawn-out moan, buried in Benâs wet fur. The cavern echoes with the sound of her weeping.
Something twitches underneath her, and she gasps, sitting up immediately. She might have imagined it, but sheâs desperate for any scrap of hope left. Nothing happens, and her heart crashes again, broken to pieces before her.
Then, Benâs form ripples, like a reflection in a stream. She knows what this is. With a cacophony of horrible sounds, bones breaking and flesh tearing, his body shifts in front of her. The fur and tail disappear, the muzzle and ears sink into his face, and shaggy black changes to smooth pale skin. Ben lays in front of her in his human form, still surrounded by and covered in blood, still unmoving. She holds her breath, hardly daring to hope.
His chest rises. Not much, but enough. Her eyes latch onto the movement. Again, the barest hint of a breath. A hysterical laugh falls out of her, and her head falls forward into her knees. She catches her breath quickly, and carefully reaches over him to feel at the wound on his shoulder, not daring to turn him over. She can see the edges of it around his arm and side, but to her exploring touch, it doesnât feel as deep or as long. Still something that could easily kill him if they donât get help, but itâs enough for them to get there.
She takes a shuddering breath. It was the transformation, she knows. It has the power to heal him, a little, his body fixing what it can as it reforms itself. He hadnât had enough energy to make the shift though, sheâs certain. She reaches inside herself, knowing what sheâll find. Her wells of magic are still empty, edges scraped dry, but the sense of it is raw, somehow even emptier than before, as if something necessary was pulled from her against her bodyâs will. Itâs what every witch is warned about, one of the basic lessons in every magic book. Even with her haphazard training, she knows the dangers of overextending herself and using her life force for her magic. She doesnât regret it in the least. Sheâs a witch. She has years to spare, and besides, sheâs already promised them all to him anyway.
She rests her head on his shoulder, feeling drained. She thinks she shouldnât have any tears left to cry and yet they still keep coming, wetting his bare skin and rolling off his shoulder. She needs to move them soon; itâll be a long trek back with him as deadweight, but she needs a moment. Her entire body feels weak and like it canât even support her own weight. Sheâll make it though, she knows. Sheâll never give up on him. Her hand curls around his shoulder possessively.
âCareful,â he gasps. Her head jerks up in shock.
âBen?â Her heart stops.
His eyes slowly flicker open, and his dark gaze peers up at her. âHello, sweetheart,â he rasps.
âBen!â Her lips crash over his, drinking in the taste of him like sheâll die without it. He canât do much to respond, but tries his best, his good arm curling around the back of her head. She tastes blood on his lips and it makes her heart clench. He can probably taste the same on hers. Itâs alright now, though, everythingâs okay. Benâs alive.
She withdraws reluctantly, not wanting to stop kissing him. She could do that forever, and now that heâs alive, they have the time. Heâs of the same mind, arching up to try to follow her before collapsing the short distance back to the ground in defeat. He pants, catching his breath, and then tilts his head slightly to look around them. She looks around too, seeing what he sees. The remains of the guards are scattered across the room where Snoke had once held court. The leader himself sits in his chair, throat torn out.
âWe survived,â Ben says in shock, as she agrees with the feeling. His eyes snap to her as he grins mischievously, even as he winces at another jolt of pain. âThis means you have to marry me now. The wedding, mating, all of it. You promised, if we both lived, and we did.â
âYouâre an idiot,â she says, laughing through the tears drying on her face. âBut yes. Of course. Marriage, mating, everything. As soon as we drag you back to civilization.â
He hums and nuzzles at her neck. âYour idiot,â he says happily, and she kisses him again.
for a prompt, reylo modern au and comfort? just one of them comforting the other after some stressful stuff in their life :â)
Thank you for the prompt, my dear @punkeraa. This is definitely not inspired by any personal life experiences; any resemblance to real life happenings is entirely coincidental ;p
The kitchen sink was leaking, rent was due, Rey was working long hours with cramps again, and Ben was working long hours with a migraine again.
In that moment, if you asked them if grad school and law school, respectively, had been worth it, neither of them would have answered in the affirmative.
Ben put the tea kettle on as soon as he got home, dumped a can of soup into a bowl and microwaved it. It was all he could muster; the news from Capitol Hill certainly hadnât helped his migraine or the situation at work.
Rey arrived home two hours later, dragging her fraying messenger bag behind her, and collapsed next to Ben on the couch.
âWanna order pizza?â she mumbled into his chest.
âSure,â he said, wrapping his left arm around her and reaching for his phone with the other. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head and asked, âThat bad, huh?â
âSo bad,â she replied. âTheyâre going to have to re-pour the concrete. Itâs a multi-million dollar mistake thatâs going to cause even further delays. And wearing a hard hat and utility belt donât exactly help when you have cramps. What about you?â
Ben didnât have the heart to tell her how badly things were going, so all he said was, âI didnât scream at anyone today, so thatâs a plus, right? You want mozzarella sticks too?â
âOf course I want mozzarella sticks too. And garlic knots. We can have the leftovers for breakfast.â
âWhatever you say, babe,â he said, knowing Rey would probably devour all of the mozzarella sticks and leave most of the pizza for him.
He was rubbing her back while they waited for the pizza when she quietly said, âI havenât been this stressed at work since I met you.â
He took her hand and squeezed. âEverythingâs going to be okay. Weâve made it this far. If our parents survived Nixon and Reagan and two recessions and the Cold War, we can survive this, right?â
She nodded, and he pulled her onto his lap and into his arms.

reylo and 6? ;)
I hope this is okay! Not sure how I feel about this :|
6. âDo you trust me?â
âDo you trust me?â
His wordswere genuine, but it wasnât enough. âIt doesnât matter,â she bit out as shepushed past the Supreme Leader of the First Order. He called out to her, urgency in his voice, but she didnât budge. She didnât listen.
And look ather now.
Kylo gazeddown at the sleeping form of the girl who he was tied to. After years ofcommunicating through their bond, he could never predict the situation he foundhimself in. Everything he worked so hard for, gone in an instant, because shewas too stubborn to heed his warnings. Or have friends who actually watched herback. A sigh left him as he pushed aside some hair from her eyes.
What ashitshow.
Twelvehours had passed since he fished her from the battlefield, the Force vibratingwith life, more than ever, as he cradled her in his arms and deflected everyblaster bolt aimed at him. She had not stirred, and normally that would sendanyone into a panic, but not him. He felt the energy within her become strongeras the minutes ticked by. She was going to be fine, she just needed time torecover.
He shouldbe furious that his plans were thwarted, now that he cut off all communicationwith the First Order, but he wasnât. Any bitter feelings died on his tonguewhen he remembered why he did it all in the first place. For her? No, he wasnâtgoing to get far if she was the only thing on his mind. Taking over control ofthe First Order opened his eyes in more way than he could imagine, and afteryears of trying to change the galaxy from the inside, his time was up. He justhoped the legislation and codes he put in place came through in the end.
It wasbound to happen though. The meetings and negotiations he forced himself to sitthrough was like getting his teeth pulled, and no sleep would be lost if henever saw another First Order Admiral ever again. He supposed he should thankhis lucky stars that Hux didnât try to poison him in his sleep - the ginger manalways seemed like someone who would take the cowardly route to get rid of him.
And now hewas free.
Heharrumphed softly and got up from Reyâs bedside, weaving his way to the cockpitnot far off. There was probably a giant bounty on his head after his littlestunt, so freedom was relative. If he drifted through space with just himself andRey, that would be the closest to freedom he could hope for, but he couldnâtkeep her here. Once she woke up, he would plot a route to the nearestResistance-friendly planet and part ways, like they always seemed to do.
âYou knowitâs more complicated than that, Ben,â Reyâs sleepy voice murmured from thecot.
Kylo jumpedup from the pilotâs seat and practically hurdled over the low bulkhead to her.âStop talking, you need to rest. You were banged up pretty good.â
Rey crookeda brow at him and in defiance, pulled herself to sit upright. âItâs fine. Ifeel fine.â
He fixedhis mouth into a firm line and glared at her. âYou donât trust me to even watchover you?â
She let outan annoyed sound. âNo, itâs not that. If youâre going to drop me off at a Resistanceplanet, I want to be awake as long as I can before I leave.â
âWhy?â heasked, not sure where she was going with this.
Her eyesslipped shut and it was like she was counting to ten in her head before shelooked at him again. âBecause we have a lot of catching up to do.â
âWe talk toeach other almost every day, Rey,â he said deadpan.
âYeah, butnot like this. Not in the flesh.â She paused and noticed her surroundings. âWhyare we alone on your ship?â
He couldnâttell her the truth, he couldnât. He didnât want a rehash of the Supremacy again, where she only saw hispotential rather than himself as a person. So he lied. âIâm the Supreme Leader,Rey. I can do whatever I want.â
âCareful,or youâll have a mutiny on your hands,â she joked before looking thoughtful fora moment. âThat might not be a bad thing, no offence. The First Order wouldfall into disarray and be vulnerable to attack.â
He didnâthave the heart to comment that that had basically happened already. He couldonly imagine the state of the First Order. âIâll deal with it then.â Silencefell over them, which brought forth the uncomfortable question. âWhy didnât youtrust me?â he asked softly.
âBen.â Asigh escaped her. âI wasnât going to abandon them just because you told me notto go.â
âWas my wordnot enough?â
âThatâs notfair. You know I couldnât just pull out of the mission and leave Finn and Poeand Rose to fight without me.â
So muchtime had passed that the name of the traitor no longer brought forth anger. Heused to be jealous that the ex-Stormtrooper could exchange jokes and talk withher easily, but after all the conversations they had, Kylo knew what wasbetween himself and Rey was different. It was something no one else wouldunderstand or experience. âI knowâŚI just wish you were more careful.â
Rey laughedand swatted at him. âYou worry too much.â
âFor goodreason, since you would be dead if I didnât save you.â
âOh man,you definitely have a mutiny waiting for you when you get back.â
A chuckle. âItâsnothing I canât handle.â
And likethat, conversation between them continued like normal, as if they werenât onopposite sides of the galactic war for the past five years. He hugged his kneesand settled against the side of her cot as she laid back down, the pair talkingabout nothing, which was always his favorite.
He doesnâtknow if heâll ever tell her that he was no longer affiliated with the FirstOrder, or how he drafted legislations to abolish slave trading, among otherthings. She didnât need to know those things, not when she was the only personwho saw him for who he was. Not a Skywalker. Not a Supreme Ruler.
Just Ben.
for a reylo prompt - Kylo taking Rey somewhere and itâs the first time she sees snow for the first time (âżâ âżâ )
SORRY FOR THE DELAY T___T, i....got the cold aspect of snow???
The first thing she feels when the bond slowly peels open is cold. Even though the word cold is such aweak description of the sensation of being chilled from within. Shebreathes and sees small puffs leave her mouth to disappear into the relativewarmth of the cargo hold.
âCouldnât you have at least seen me some warm?â Rey bites out as she folds armshunching herself forward slightly to expose less of herself to the cold thatsurrounds Kylo.
He blinks as if heâs surprised to see herthereâŚwhich is valid. They havenât talked in over three months.
reylo and 9? :)
Meeting online AU
Rey can remember the first like sheâd received from him. It was on her peasant Belle costume, the one sheâd wanted to make since she was a kid. She had jumped up and down that Kylo Ren, one of the best costumers out there, liked her picture. Liked her costume.
Six months and many PMs later she was waiting outside the convention hall in her newly finished (and in some places glued together) Belle ballgown waiting for her potential prince. Who was late. And not answering her texts.
Rey shifted her feet, now angry the bastard had convinced her to wear heels with the dress (âIt will look betterâ he said). She could shove one of those heels up his.
âCoffee?â A male voice asked.
Rey turned to politely decline and was face to face with Kylo Ren. Dressed as a Disney Prince (his hair wasnât the right color but some how his dark hair worked in the ponytail). With coffee for her.  âYouâre late,â she said.
âDidnât know you were British or Iâve brought tea,â he said.
âCoffee is good. Did this make you late?â
He nodded.  âFigured every date needed coffee.â
She almost choked on her drink because when was this a date? But, well, Rey wasnât opposed to the idea.  âJust tell me when our photoshoot is and then Iâll look for dinner places.â
He raised an eyebrow.  âDinner?â
âIf this is a date,â she said feeling her cheeks heat up, âI would like dinner as well.â
