Wyrmgender, punkcoric, nebularose, genderfuck Hatchet! Uses any pronouns alongside dragon/wyrm/spikes/flameself/wyrmself neopronouns, and has AuDHD, low empathy, and identifies with rabies pride as well as identified flameself within the trans umbrella!!
Gotta say, I absolutely adore this little guy! I'm not familiar with Zoophobia as a work, but I love the background snippets of Hatchet in Hazbin. The design is awesome, the concept of being a punk AND turning into a dragon is awesome.. I could go on and on, tbh, it's my favorite background character. And I littered it with cool headcanons.
I love the idea of Hatchet being neurodivergent and portrayed as a chaotic, fun character, and so I slapped on some obvious aroace projection (based, mayhaps) and nice genders that can potentially appeal to its aesthetic! As well as relating to the fact that Hatchet is punk, which is always cool, always important.
Anyways my major worry is that the show seemingly portrays his punk identity as inherently violent. And that's a terrible stereotype and COMPLETE misunderstanding of punk culture on a basic ass level.
Nonetheless, I love this thing and I hope they change that portrayal. (I can still be delusional abt it bc I'm sure as hell they won't actually change it)
Also here's a random headcanon about spikes:
Hatchet had a special interest regarding dragons when alive, and sew dragon themed patches and hand made (messy) designs for their punk clothes. Hence why, alongside many other reasons, Hatchet turns out with the appearance and ability to shape shift into a dragon! I also think Hatchet would identify with Wyrmgender not only because the label fits, but also because its secretly hell-bent on being called a wyrm on spikes dragon form since it'd be anatomically accurate.
