After a dinner of deer hearts and whiskey, Kate (her palms are still sweating) bestows the gift unto her sister. With shaking hands, Kate tucks her hair behind her ears as she explains her reasons for the gift ("I just. I love you a lot you know?") and why she left the other one blank (I"n case you wanted to engrave a message for me. I mean, only if... only if you want to I guess?"). 

Tasha doesn't give her any indication as to what her opinions are on the charms while she opens the package. For what feels like centuries, Kate watches on and as second after creeping second rolls by, Kate begins to feel like maybe she made a horrible mistake. Just when she's about to attempt to laugh the whole thing away, Tasha looks up with a bright smile. Her eyes sparkle and Kate's breathing hitches just slightly. 

"This is so cute, thank you." Tasha says, leaning up to press a kiss to the corner of Kate's mouth, her lips dangerously close to Kate's own. "I think  I'll get 'my love for you is bulletproof' engraved on yours." She continues, pulling her chram out of the box. "You wanna put it on  for me?" 

Kate swallows and nods. "Of course." She says, her voice choked with the relief of Tasha loving the gift. She takes the charm from Tasha, their fingers brushing, and takes Tasha's wrist in her own hand. Tasha's wearing a charm bracelet Kate got her on her tenth birthday, and Kate rubs her finger over Tasha's pulse pint, pressing a kiss to the skin and feeling the rhythm falter under her lips. 

Kate fastens the new charm to Tasha's bracelet, then looks up into her smiling face. "I'm so glad I have you here." Kate whispers, in awe of the ethereal beauty that her sister. "So glad." 

Tasha just shakes her head, her smile widening as she cups Kate's face and kisses her forehead tenderly. "I'm glad you saved me." She whispers against the skin, pressing another lingering kiss there.
