This gorgeous apple tart features thinly sliced apples shaped into beautiful roses, nestled in a flaky puff pastry crust. The combination of sweet apples, cinnamon, and apricot preserves creates a delightful flavor profile that is sure to impress.
Ingredients: 1 sheet puff pastry. 4-5 large apples, thinly sliced. 1/4 cup apricot preserves. 2 tablespoons lemon juice. 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Powdered sugar, for dusting.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 375F 190C. Thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions. In a bowl, mix lemon juice with thinly sliced apples to prevent browning. Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle and transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread apricot preserves over the puff pastry. Arrange the thinly sliced apples along one edge of the pastry, overlapping them slightly. Sprinkle cinnamon over the apples. Carefully roll the pastry with the apples into a tight spiral. Slice the rolled pastry into 1-inch sections. Carefully place the sliced pastry pieces into a greased tart pan, arranging them to resemble roses. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
