âyouâd think itâd be lonely or dull,â irene comments quietly, casually, to her friend. before them stood the unexpectedly colourful buildings of wizarding reykjavik, and its bustling, but not congested, streets. if irene focused hard enough, sheâd be able to hear their familiesâ chattering from ways behind buried beneath the melodic scandinavian conversations surrounding them. âbut itâs vibrant. lively. unlike london.â
the english capital had a long history of dread and drear, and so it always felt as though parts of it were dead. cold and gloomy, like its peopleâalthough that was more so directed to her own family rather than the general populous. sheâs still thankful in more ways than one, however. talks with her family leave a bitter taste in her mouth, but the opportunity to travel was not one that many had available to them, and her brother and her friend were so sweet they made her teeth ache.Â
it was hard to be angry all the time with blessings like those.
âare you excited?â she asks minhyuk, eyes wide in some subconscious attempt to visually consume the novelty of the foreign city. âfor the northern lights, i mean, but i guess in general, too.âÂ
