Barmaids Edward Ardizzone Lithograph from his 1938 book, The Local, certainly one of my favourite lithographed books of the late 1930s. It makes a fascinating comparison with Ravilious' High Street, both Recording Britain at a time when war loomed and our buildings and culture were under threat.
