is anyone aware of publius-esquire’s whereabouts?

he left/deactivated last year, however, i am a recent joiner of the history fandom (if you could call it that); so im not exactly sure of his reasonings on why he deactivated and where his current whereabouts are at the moment ;;

Pros: cadbury creme eggs; Cons: literally everything else

pros:

egg dyeing can be fun, though i haven’t done it in maybe 15 years

sometimes chocolate is on sale the week after

cons:

overabundance of pastels

bad furry suits

the white house easter egg hunts

rich people dressing toddlers in suits

crappy, cheap chocolate

not as good as passover, like objectively

unfairly eclipses passover

basically made it so that you have to be christian to formally celebrate “springtime”

In VA we pronounced it "cent-tor" too

i'm from iowa and and i've always said "cen-tor"

i don’t think it’s specifically a new england/new york thing, so it would make sense for it to go as far south as virginia.

Yeah.  Nothing about Ham and Eliza meeting besides that he was “girl crazy” and it was “winter.”  Just “oh they met but he met her sister first and was really into her!” And like...nope! Your changing of history doesn’t make it actual history, buddy!

Yep.  And I think it’s only going to get worse.  I love it when these books make me want to reach my fist into the afterlife and punch a dead dude.  Repeatedly.  And he should be awful during this period.  But there’s a way to do it that is not that line, which is confusing, gross, and awful. 

Spoiler: Hamilton in love with Maria.  So I guess we’re supposed to find this really romantic and sexy and titillating.  And I don’t know about you all, but it makes me want to lie on the ground and not get up.

The Schuyler Mansion spells it both ways in paperwork they gave me (it’s only five pages and yet neither mother nor daughter have a consistent spelling).  And there’s no consistency anywhere else.

Catharine Church seems to most consistently have the a, but even founders has her listed as Catherine Church, even though every letter they have that calls her by her name calls her “Catharine.” 

But then, the Schuyler Mansion is on Catherine St (right off of Morton Ave and a block from Alexander St).  

The New York State Library, which has Catharine (insert a million names) Cochran’s papers, goes with the a.  When I was there, I didn’t actually look at any letters where she wrote to see her signature, so I can’t confirm.  All the Eliza letters were EH->CC.
