The process of iteration of the poem Human-Centered featured below
Human-Centered
In a techno world,
What does human-centered mean?
Is it about analyzing the human psyche?
Is it about creating for the human of today,
Or pushing them to be the human of tomorrow?
We engineer solutions to the problems people care about,
We design for the users others forgot.
We research,
We ideate,
We prototype,
We evaluate,
And then we do it all over again.
A cycle of reflection,
Taking an ethical, reflexive thought direction
All so we can better the lives of our own,
Humans.

Distinction
What does distinctive even mean?
In a world where people clamor for more of the same,
Where any change is met with resistance,
Is there any distinction in a new take on the same name?
A way to have creativity and comfort in co-existence?
Maybe distinctive doesn’t just mean unique.
Maybe it’s a word for something totally new.
Maybe it’s that certain aspect of mystique,
That makes an idea shine like the world turned askew.
Maybe the key to distinction is to play just outside of safe,
Push the limits of the box just a little.
Give the users the experience they want exceeded,
Something familiar plus something they didn’t know they needed.
Maybe distinction is a true understanding of the design process,
Maybe it’s nothing at all,
Or maybe it’s 12.5% of my grade.

Scope
We try, we try, but we can’t fix it all.
We try, but there isn’t a universal solve.
If we try to fix everything nothing gets done,
It might’ve been better to focus on one.
If we focused on one thing we could’ve made change,
Instead we’re stuck trying to think of a range.
Fixing one thing is better than nothing at all
