If a man has sinned privately, he can be privately rebuked, but if a man by his public position and actions promotes, espouses, and urges others to do what is unscriptural and wrong and harmful, then he has to be exposed publicly. We owe that to the weak and untaught and confused. This is one point that Bill Gothard, a charming and gracious man, cannot seem to get clear in his Institute of Basic Youth Conflicts.
